Watching this almost 4 years later, still puts tears in my eyes. Truex has always been my favorite driver and still is today, I was words beyond happy when he won this first championship and hoping this year he will FINALLY get redemption for 2018 and 2019 and win his second Cup title.

They need to do the championship race at homestead again

This race still gives me goosebumps when there’s no commentary, I watched this race live in 5th grade in my birthday when I turned 11. I will never forget this race, truly one of the best championship races in this decade.

You can thank Lagano for that one. Held someone racing for the championship for literally no reason 0 chance the kid was going to hold him off for 20 laps. Don’t know if Kyle could have won but he should would have had better tires

This was the most emotional championship race I ever watched 😭 Couldn't have been a better guy to win the trophy 🏆

Congrats to Martin Truex Jr. on both his regular season and cup series championships. 8 wins in one season. Quite the achievement. Thanks to Dale Jr. for his many years of excellence and sportsmanship. I'm happy the season ended with no drivers being permanently injured. Here's hoping next season is as good as this one was.

Looking back at well after the fact and how many repeat winners in 2018-2020 2018: both Kevin harvick* and Kyle Busch won 8 races each 2 of Harvick’s were encumbered 2019: MTJ won 7 races 2020: Kevin Harvick won 9 races and Hamlin won 6 races

This race is almost 5 years old & I remember when MTJ crossed the finish line I screamed so loud I knew the pain he went through, I knew the rough career he had pre-furniture row, & it was one of the happiest races I've ever seen

This was my first ever NASCAR race that I watched, and I'm glad it was. Truex became my favorite after this race, since I knew that he is such a great racer who doesn't look at the bad. Obviously this current season has been pain for MTJ fans, but this is such a great look back and definitely a great memory seeing my driver winning a championship.

Thanks for posting the race on KZread. TSN in Vancouver Canada delayed the race by over an hour. Good to get the beginning of the race Happy to see Truex win.

After the shit season he’s had, I decided to just take a little trip down memory lane and look at all the amazing moments in his career. This was only my second season as a NASCAR fan and Truex was already my favorite driver. Seeing him last season dominate races and coming up just short at winning them and hearing about all the things that he’s been through made me root for him. I was bummed out that I missed the final race, but I had it recorded so when I fast forward to the end to see the #78 surrounded by a crowd I knew that he had done it. I didn’t even know how to feel.

so happy Truex won the championship.. he deserved it .. the best car all year....such a class act and he and Sherry are good people.. so happy for him. Looks like it's Harvick's year this year tho.. still hoping for a back to back for Truex..

That was awesome and can tell Busch was getting frustrated through out the year cause he had good cars 2 but Truex was usually better

The only reason 2018 wasn't a bullshit season was because Chase Elliott got his first win that season and Austin Dillon won the Daytona 500.

I remember when I was 15 and 16 I been a Martin Truex Jr fan 7 years ago since 2017. I want to cheer on Martin Truex Jr to win a cup championship of 2017 I was so happy I was like yes yes he did it we won a cup championship unbelievable we won we won I am so happy. I am hoping he will win a 2nd Cup Championship this year in 2024 at Championship 4 in Phoenix.

To me this was one of the last years that nascar felt like nascar, it’s just not the same anymore for some reason

Being from Denver I was a Jeff Gordon fan growing up but when Jeff retired I became a Truex fan and I was a happy guy 3 years ago first the Av's,Broncos,Pioneers,Rapids and now Barney Visser Furniture Row

Although Martin is not the driver I root for (my driver won last week), it is clear that he deserves the title for the performance he put on this year. Great job Martin.

One thing I think many seldom recognize about Jr is despite not winning a championship himself, he brought up champions into the sport, Truex and Brad, and he is so unafraid of putting them and their success above his own. Like him or not, it is an incredible show of humbleness and humility and what racing means to him beyond his own career.

Thank you very much Nascar for posting all the races of this season, it's the first season I fully watched and it's been great. It got me hooked up and found out so many new things about the sport and how much depth it really has. More spectacular then F1 in my oppinion. Cheers and see you next year. When Jeff Gordon retired that’s when I personally knew another favorite was gonna retire soon Dale Earnhardt Jr! That’s when NASCAR was already losing a lot

As a Hardcore Rowdy fan, this race is pretty painful to watch. But Congrats to Truex, and at least it wasn't Brad K.

so far this year it looks like Harvick or Rowdy Busch... out of those two.. I'd take Harvick.. I'm a Truex fan and absolutely despise Kyle Busch.. if he does not win he cries.. I have to give Kyle credit tho.. arguably the best driver in Nascar....
