I play out here almost every day. I enjoy taking my Coleman bt200x minibike through there. Its no problem getting it anywhere. And way lighter than a dirtbike. And im always finding car parts. Shocks, fenders, running boards,ect. Its amazing how these trucks can get into some spots. I can get somewhere i think no one has been. Then a see a truck part. Blows your mind. Looks impossible. I love the desert. Home sweet home

For anyone that thinks a ladder frame and two solid axles is what makes an off roader, I'd like to point out that fully independent tube frame (basically a unibody where the body is the frame) vehicle was leading ultra4 before he lost a CV. . People need to stop conflating unibody and independent suspension with car suspension. The vast majority of crossover SUVs are based off car suspension. This doesn't mean that all independent suspensions will act that way. Look at the Land Cruiser. It has tremendous flex with IFS, and beat out the Gladiator Rubicon on this guys RTI ramp ---> kzread.info/dash/bejne/mnaFybt7oKqppMo.html . Heck, my old unibody WJ had two axles and did well offroad. It's in the design.

It is open to spectators and many people travel from across the country just to be there and watch this race.

Yes. Open to spectators, though this year they pushed everyone back away for the course. But it is open desert, you can go to any of the obstacles and watch. But it is packed and wild! You will need a 4x4, UTV or dirt bike to get up to some of them. The whole area is super cool for off roading. Be careful though, it is CRAZY out there.
