FIRST | 2024 King Of The Hammers (FULL STORY)

Ойын-сауық

FIRST, the story of my experience at King Of The Hammers this year. KOH is never easy. It's typically always hectic, full of surprises, frustration, highs, and lows. This year was certainly the epitome of that. From finishing first in the UTV race for the 4th year in a row in the new Maverick R, to finishing physical first in the 4400 race shortly before encountering nearly an hour worth of penalties, KOH 2024 was a wild ride.

Hammer King productions really needs to figure out course markers, there is more missed VCP's during a KOH race than any of the Baja races. It seems to be an issue year after year, if a "Trail" is missed by more than half of the field it should be staked off with the typical orange arrows to signify the correct trail. AND to threaten to disqualify someone for it? Not a good look. You'll get em next year no doubt.

I can imagine us racers are like trying to herd cats, I know it’s hard for them to put up arrows in spots because of how hard the ground is. I think they did like 6 revisions of the map. It’s definitely tough, because the rule book says one thing, they say something different in the drivers meeting then by the end of the drivers meeting they change or add stipulations to what they said at the beginning of the meeting.

Your 4400 hands down the best race I have ever seen. I race desert UTV and I can only imagine how the million dollar programs would react if a UTV came in first. Those rock jocks should be very concerned about the future of UTV wins in 4400. They NEED better course markers. Everyone knows that when you dealing with a GPS 10' off line is almost imposable to see. I know with your laser focus that you will be back and even stronger. Horsepower and money doesn't win races, heart and drive does and they better up their game if they want to beat you in the future. Cheers

@@kylechaney191 Uptown is a named trail, albeit short. Therefore you did miss a “full trail”. Stop portraying that you were wrongly penalized and single out or something. You DID NOT run the full race course everyone else that finished in front of you did for the 2024 ROK and got penalized for it. Simple as that. Lucky you didn’t get DQ’d for intentional short coursing.
