Monster B.C. Bull Trout | Phil Rowley Fly Fishing

Фильм және анимация

British Columbia is renowned for its outstanding fly fishing opportunities for a variety of species. Bull trout are one of the most popular species to chase on the fly. The southeast corner of the province is home to some huge bull trout. Join me and good friend Kellen Kinghorn as Paul Samyica from Elk River Guiding Company takes us on a fall bull trout safari we won't soon forget. Huge fish, large flies, and crystal clear water.

Amazing! I love your videos. Recently went looking for bull trout here in Alberta and there sure are some giant ones chasing the whitefish. White streamer does the trick nice. If they don’t hit, go bigger lol

Hi Saxon, thanks for the kind words. With all that has been going on of late around the world and its impact at a local level, we have fallen behind with any new posts. We should have some more videos ready to launch soon. Please take care and stay healthy. Thanks, Phil

Nice looking fish! Perhaps a bigger net would be a worthwhile investment?

Hi Randy, a bigger net would definitely have been a good investment for some of the fish we encountered. I still tease Paul about his net failure. Cheers, Phil

Now THAT'S a lot of bull! That fish at the 1:12 mark must've gone 8-9 lbs, right?

Charles Loftis A lot of bull in this video. Paul felt that fish was well over 10 pounds. It was both wide, deep and powerful. We still can’t believe it barged it’s way through the net.

Sounds a bit selfish to me..other people should have an opportunity to feel the joys of something special like that..I mean I don't think all non locals fish with dynamite or anything..as long as they are following the rules of the regulations ..no body deserves to fish there more than anyone else

Don't be a dildo... they weren't name dropping the water or anything. If you recognize the river than you already know. If not then watch and enjoy
