I agree completely. The water is so crystal clear, just beautiful. Thanks for watching!!!
Beautiful creatures and scenery! Nothing better
Great way to break a $900 rod. I’ve done it, twice. Once on a tarpon, once on a chinook. Way to handle the fish too. Nice to see good C&R practices.
An art, life's learning. This was beautiful

Great piece! Much respect!
It's good to live in trout heaven. U guys are so blessed.I'm from oz, Sydney. We don't have the quality and choices like u guys.Though we do have New Zealand very close to us(277.00) return economy air ticket. Cheap. We do have Tasmania also. I'm there for 5 to 6 weeks of the year, just for fishing the great trout fishery there. Spend a lot of time up in the great western teir (plateau). Ancient glacial lakes and tarns(100's of them) sight fishing for big Browns when the dun hatches are on,and on the Wild West coast for big sea run Browns!mostly. Great wild wild river systems on the west coast. Your father seems to of had a great philosophy and approach to life. We have nasty nasty snakes down here. Keeping out of their way is pretty easy, most of the time. B.C. Is a place I will be getting to in the next few years.was there when I was 11yo(75). I have to ask a few questions though.I'm sure it will sound real stupid to you! How far does that bear spray shoot? How is its accuracy? What if the bear is charging at 40 to 50 or so kms an hour? How do you fish relaxed at the core of your being after seeing the wolf and bear prints around? I go bow hunting deer (I keep and eat the deer)once or twice a year on my Inlaws properties in North western N.SW. 5000 and 7000 acres. I also get into our wild country up north and down south hunting and fishing.Pigs, goats, dogs, cats, rabbits and foxes as well as deer are feral here. They do untold ecological damage to native flora and fauna. We are allowed to get rid of them but none of them can climb trees and kill us.If it comes down to it,us or them, we are allowed to choose them to save our own lives. I have been bow hunting and fishing for almost 36 years, I have a science degree in social ecology and one in health( mental health). I don't kill for fun and waste nothing of what I do.98 to 99 percent of my fish are catch and release with care.Part aboriginal.have been a deep ecologist long before the term was phrased. My question is how come u don't carry a gun or something other than the bear spray? Excuse my ignorance of your laws and culture in B.C. This probably sounds stupid to you, again, but If u do have a partner.Do they worry when your out there on your own? My partner(22years) is constantly telling be carefull of snakes, wild pigs, wild dogs etc. I'm usually out of all electronic range for phones and computers and by the time I get back its tears, hugs, I'm so glad your alive and u come back to me in one piece (so dramatic,Leo)!!! We don't have wolves, bears, Pumas etc!! He he.. I'm sure it sounds pretty silly to you but that's a big reason I've been held back by the hand break(her) from getting to your part of the world. Anyway. An educating response(mostly for her and a bit for me, still worried about bears that can eat me and no bow etc to protect myself) would be appreciated. By the way. Awesome clip!!!
I love it, congrats!!!

I enjoyed this the first time round when I saw this on one of the dvds I bought from you. Time, I think, for you to bring out another excellent dvd for us to purchase.
Epic! Just another reason that the East Kootenays is one of the best places in the world to go fishing! #godscountry!

real nice video! have fun!
Nice video, love it!
I agree Keith. I am a couple of days drive from this young Lady. Actually, part of the videos had a bit on her Guide Camp and such. I would love to see a video just centered around her Camp. It showed her working a Milling machine cutting timber for the Cabins. I think that part would be most interesting also.
Wish I’d seen this 6 yrs ago. Great vid. Bull trout are hogs. The woman was an amazing. She can throw a bug.
Great !!!! 🐋

The Song - Live to Love is the name of the second song!
Awesome Vid!!!! does anyone know what the track is that's playing at the start?
Again a great vid by the Master !
Incredible is streamer fishing cutts only to have one of those behemoths grab on - "off to the races" on 3X tippet! (giddiness is landing the dang thing)
4:32 - Love the video but that’s a great way to snap a rod. We’ve all done it but especially for folks new to fly fishing, do not grab your rod that way when fighting a fish. I’ve had friends/clients etc break very expensive gear that way.

Yes. I think she learned her lesson with all the comments about this!
you are lucky to live there
girl beautiful, pure water and a lot of fish, fishing rod same pressure to hand
Wow
Where can one find more info about fishing this section of river?
I would love to go fishing with her!!!!
It has to be said that fishing in BC for a living far outweighs queing from camp 5 just hoping you get back down every season. Good choice.
7:15 wtf?!!!!! hahah!!!
Nice cutt! Where are you fishing in this video?
Eeeesh. 4:34 was painful to watch. Talk about asking for a broken rod. On top of that, using the tip section of the rod like that to "control" the fish puts so little pressure on the fish that you will lose more fish.
the clarity of the water is ridiculous. Id never want to leave either
I wish i join you one day
Crap I shouldn't have watched this before work, now it's gonna be a long day.
Can you please tell me which model Winston your using and what weight?

The perfect woman ,she has everything !
Another fine day on the wig.
Love the video! Great fishing, awesome filmography. I must say, though, her use of pressure on the rod with her left hand while fighting fish is a terrible example to anglers, as this action imposes lots of pressure on the tip of the rod, thus over-pressuring fish, causing break offs, as well as potentially causing rods to snap.
@MichaelPhillips-jw4bj

Yeah exactly, griping the rod that way completely changes the parts of rod receiving the pressure. The rod is built a to flex in certain area's a specific way. always stay inside the cork when gripping. He's right so many people snap there rods when griping like that...though You sometimes see spey guys do it a little higher then the cork. This is less dangerous due to the rod length and the still low grip.. I still wouldn't do it with decent experience with the rod
@rudyelizondo1935

I disagree, I always use my rod full flexing the trout into hand otherwise the big danger of breaking the leader. Winston rods are excellent and don’t break. I own a Winston 4 wt and have caught n landed 5lb football size trout.
What river is this?
Anyone know the name of the song starting at 3:54?

WTF is up with grapping the rod half way up????? You run the risk of breaking the rod... and remove some of the rod ability to work as intended...

Cringe whenever I see someone put their hand above the cork on a fly rod, perfect way to break it and or lose the fish.

@@sirmegallot3276 I dont really mind the hand on the blank much, but the first fish she loses she keeps the rod really awkward, then later you see another one charge away when attemping to land it and the rod scrapes point first over the gravel, and lastly she lands a big one with the leader in hand and the tip of the rod almost in a hoop. Those are pretty big no go's for me, much more than the extra support with the hand on the rod.
Just one more Simms video
