The wheelie tendency could be minimized by moving the drive wheel back, preferably right behind the seat back. As it is, the center of mass of the driver is "fulcrum opposite" of the structural mass. Thus, you get seesawing motion from any inertial change. Use a second drive wheel in front as well, and the nose diving will also be reduced.

The reason these things are so bad with analog controls is that there's usually a resonance in the angle control with a frequency in the ballpark of 1-2 Hz, ie pendulum swinging of the rider and working bits relative to wheel.

Hmm, maybe you could maybe have a lateral sliding weight on the steering wheel to affect the balance and thus turn

I'd put a small trailing wheel on it (like a true Penny-Farthing). Make the small trailing wheel fixed with the frame and the driver won't rock back and forth. Might still rock when you brake unless you use the small wheel itself for the braking. I know, I know, it sort of defeats the mono-wheel idea but it would be a much more practical machine and a lot easier to ride.

You might as well make one with 2 wheels the same size. That might be a big hit.

Called mono(one)wheel yet basically has 2 wheels 🤔 1st the driver wheel(yes a wheel) which basically run on its own "tracks" which is the 2nd wheel, the large wheel or the "main wheel".✌️

kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXpk1NOll8fHeLA.html You could use the handle bars to offset the weight of the engine or have a counter balance to aid with steering.

if you want to stop that diving backwords at start up move the drive wheel behind you as aposed to under you, like the two wheel tipe you are talking about, lets see that when done......
