Monogram 1/24 NASCAR Miller Buick Driven by Dick Trickle EP 004 (E019)

Old school NASCAR build of the Dick Trickle 1/24 scale Monogram Miller Buick Regal. This is a departure from my aircraft builds and I am so looking forward to sharing this experience!
In this episode we tackle the roll bar padding, look at some body work and get the racing harness installed.

    Looking good. I don't build many cars, and less of NASCAR, but I will try and find one of interest to try.

    First time viewer. Love this. Been wanting to get back into the hobby, especially after joining a few modeling groups. The valance would make for a nice touch.

    I think adding the additional part to the lower valance would look great. It adds a huge plus with the least amount of detraction to the whole build.

    I think I would add the lower valance.....gives the car a bit more attitude.

    Hi Darrin, I am new to modelling Stock Cars, (previously aircraft) and I find your videos insightful. Especially your little tricks, such as the heat shrink and tread👍 Enjoying your building , please keep it up 🤗

    I had some questions. But your intro addressed those questions for me. Looking good too.

    Thanks so much on the metal paint question! Gonna order some today! Man that car is gonna be major sweet! Love the details! I’ll have to pick up some of that lead wire also! That will be killer for so many uses! That lower valence well hell yeah mod it! I liked that added bit there where it comes down and flattens out!

    Last comment. I swear. I was hoping for some hints on the seat belt assembly. Maybe do a video on just that at some point. Seat belts are like plug wires; the minimum amount of detail that only enhances the build. But both take some effort to do right.

    I will note that for a future episode. I’m planning on doing another build review on my SavinosJR Hardee’s car, I’ll demonstrate the belts in they build.

    why did you not do the door side cage padding?

  • @TerryWilsonModels
    @TerryWilsonModels4 жыл бұрын

    Most of the new kits have the padding already molded in... do you still use the same technique or do you use paint to paint the padding?

    I use the same technique
