Thank you for highlighting the comment. Being born & raised in an extremely multicultural country like the United State (Los Estados Unidos: E.E.U.U. Tambien), it can be very difficult to trace one's own lineage back through several centuries due to the length of time our many descendants came from. A lot of my Ancestors were from Texas-Mexico, back before 'The Alamo' and before Texas became it's own country before joining The United States as a Southern State to retain the ability to keep slaves to work the many different agricultural crops, like cotton. As a matter of fact we usually only have 'word of* mouth' to rely on. And even at that point, once we research where our Great and Great-Great Grandparents are from we are a variable mix of a number of Cultures and descendants & Cultures. My grandparents are Primarily descendents of German, Scots (my father) and Irish, Irish (my mother). Although the video here doesn't refer to any cultures specifically... Except for near the end where Peter the Great, of Russia, built a huge Naval Fleet to protect his homeland and territories that stretched half way around the world. Around the early decades of the 19th Century the Russian-Sino (Japanese) war occurred during the time of a smaller Russian Naval Fleet. Of course, responding to a Naval engagement when commands could take days to reach the front, the conundrum of Latency (what many of us encounter daily in using the internet). Launching components of the Russian Fleet from their European Ports. It could take months before arriving where the battles would take place. By the time the fleet arrived -=prudence, providence & cooler heads would eventually prevail=-. This was one of the reasons why Stalin waited a long time before eventually declaring war on Japan. I'm almost certain Stalin wanted to finalize the European war and to stabilize the fronts and before proceeding with Joining the Allies with their endeavors in the Far East (AKA The Orient - as opposed to the Occident {that includes Europe and most parts West of}). Please excuse the T.M.I., remember that Knowledge is a component of Wisdom, that can only be gained upon seeking the truth and ultimately a bond between yourself and a God of your own understanding. But back from my Tangent & History Lesson, watching the Russian Sailor's dancing really sparked a flame under "My Back-Bottom". As such it has encouraged me to seek out local groups teach "like minded people. And can begin my journey to learning how to Scottish Highland dance. And I owe a lot of it to the individual who created this video. Thank you for your Hard Word in selecting, sequencing the video's and finally using the World War II era Russian men performing dance from their heritage. Again forgive the T.M.I., but you cannot smell my name, TIM, Without the letters.
