This is one of my favorite solves with the fact Monk keeps starting over, him being sweet towards Stottlemeyer and all his remarks he makes while drunk.😂😂😂 It’s still super gross that they hid the body in the wine barrel.😖😖😖

From Snopes: In the days before refrigeration and embalming, folks who died far away were sometimes transported home preserved as best they could be in a barrel of alcohol. There are many stories of people unwittingly drinking from the barrels, who knows how many may be true, but likely the inspiration for stories like this one.

One interesting detail is he's a very unforgettable person, very loud and he's a bug guy, so it's even less likely that they'd forget him.

Zero reason why they couldn't have just kept the money and reported the body. Not like the cops knew he had the money, or it even existed.

He very well might have been a suspect in a robbery and they'd be worried about having the place searched for the money, having not seen this episode in years I didn't remember if he was a suspect or not

But they were supposed to be on vacation and not having to solve a murder case. I think it was the one they stayed in the FBI cabin that she accused Monk of being bad luck. Then came around by the end and said he's good luck because he's there to solve the crimes.

Im shocked the man used an entire shelf of cologne at ones. Aint noooo way some one could taste or smell a normal amount of daily sprays diluted in that amount of wine. 🤣

@@carollollol I know a guy who uses so much cologne, you can smell him a mile away. I think his plan is to make all females in the immediate vicinity pass out from the cologne, and then he has his pick of the litter.

lol, There are lots of employees on the vineyard who didn’t know and the group got careless and didn’t think to put a sign or something on it.

The old hide the body in the wine barrel move. However, you’re not supposed to put it in a barrel that big. In fact, you need to cut the body in pieces and put it in a smaller barrel. Oh! and make sure it’s not a wine barrel! Amateurs!
