Yes, abscence of wants......but one should not conclude "There is no free will", bcz What u call consciousness in another term is freewill or freedom. It is you defining in different forms.....leave all....u know u hav a free will, that is always there, as freedom, as love, as choice, as create anytype of emotions, for example U r going to a movie, only u want to, if u hate movies u dont go..... What was that?? Its ur creations. If u hate it but you go bcz of ur frds, what was that, again its ur choice coming from free will. Leave everthing, again u have freedom. But lot of people attach then Suffer then say there is nothing like free will. With ur free will u have attached and forgot to detatch😂. So u detach, come out and see free will. Experience it. Nobody has stolen it from you. U created attachment. U wanted to expereince. U experienced.

Does this mean a Jiva starting a spiritual path to Mukti is also not in his free-will? If yes, then Vedanta is the most radical religion ever.

It's very complicated phenomenon brother I'll make it simpler for u or else it will get misconstrued...all he is trying to say is u have a machine called as body and mind which are bound by natural laws and u are not the body not the mind ur the "seeing consciousness" according to advait vedanta which is free and can't be seen and for your knowledge mind is also a body "subtle" body of consciousness we are covered by three bodies which u have to find out what....hence through this body dat is the "practical you" is the "directing entity" and in the body you are stuck ....hope it helped.

We don't have free will. Every single thought we have is the result of subconscious processing. Including every so called "choice" we make. Subconscious means not conscious. What he's calling freedom is the absence of want.

@@vj6612 If you pay attention to how you function you can easily observe that there is no free will. For instance, your so called choice to respond to my post was a thought prior to you posting it. "You" had nothing to do with the arising of that thought. It was the result of cause and effect. Your "karma", so to speak. You don't create your desires or attachments. They happen to you. Pay attention.
