I’ve Derek Robinson and he has mentioned that the stock inlet pipe is not a restriction in power. How important is it to upgrade it and how much power did you gain?

He's correct, the main reasoning for the upgrade was due to the turbo upgrade and compatibility with the stock inlet pipe. There is some trimming on the inlet and waste gate in order to fit the stock one with a type r turbo or similar

$10k usually good estimate when really tryingto have a quick clean build on most cars Maybe start with flex fuel only then do wheels and suspension Then save for this turbo swap last

Good video. How much power is the stock Turbo capable of? Also, many of the parts you listed parts that are needed anyway for more power even if the stock Turbo was retained? For example, I assume a new downpipe is needed for more power from the stock Turbo anyway. Hope that makes sense.

Stock turbo is good for around ~330hp with e30 mix. Most of the parts listed can work for a stock turbo still, downpipe would help for sure.

Hey doing an instal within the next month. Hondata states that you can use a Civic Type R STOCK downpipe, as one of the parts needed. Is this true? Just wondering before I buy this DP, Do not wanna go aftermarket like rv6 or prl bc im running rev9 which is gonna be too loud for daily use.

Yes, you’ll need a type r style downpipe, since the housing for the primary o2 sensor gets moved

@@Qiu_Media thank you so much! After the last couple days of research. the finishing build is rv6 dp, mishimoto intercooler, mishimoto turbo inlet, and type r turbo. Im assuming your thermal blanket is a type r blanket that is fitted on an accord heat shield?

Hey how's it going? Thanks for the videos & updates. I had an 18 and now a 22 . How long do you see yourself holding on to this car? I heard you mention air ride suspension. The 24 Accord is 1 year away, any thoughts on that?

Gonna try holding onto the car for awhile, it's been treating me real nicely. Especially in the current market of cars, it would be a challenge to find one at a good price if I did get rid of this one. Seen some leaks of the 24 exterior shots, need to see one in person to get finalized impressions

Do I need the type r actuator and arm or can I use the one from the accord?

The wastegate solenoid you can use from the accord but you’ll need a different arm

Been about 10k miles no issues. Only annoying thing was the Mishimoto inlet pipe having flaking paint

Does the Mishimoto pipe hit something or what? Which PRL tube do you use to connect the Mishimoto intake to the Mishimoto inlet pipe? Should the Mishimoto inlet pipe fit the factory 2.0T turbo for now?

@@zacharyhart2279 Mishimoto pipe doesn't hit anything, just poor paint quality. PRL Conversion tube using the TIP version fits fine
