Yup - really annoys me when I see friends paying £1.70 for a can of Heinz beans. FFS - they are able to charge those prices because mugs are willing to pay it. (BTW - Branstons ... 66p a can if you buy a four pack. Top notch 👍 😁)

The example used in the video of £5.15 for a large flat white in Black Sheep Coffee is also absurd. Black Sheep are known for being expensive, and cheekily their ordering screens default you to a large drink, meaning you have to specify the smaller size.

I’ve just won a complaint and got £299 compensation as I wanted one of my small work place pensions in to my current work place pension where I’ve been over 10yrs. The pension amount was only small but it took over 2yrs to transfer after hundreds of phone calls and emails and mail responses, in the end I had to raise a complaint and it was resolved within 4wks. It’s very frustrating and mind boggling! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Hi, I’ve received the email from Netflix and have decided to cancel Netflix after more than 10 years. What the point of a streaming service if they are going to be more expensive that terrestrial TV for each streaming service or going down the advertising route. I went the streaming route because I find having to pay the commie b*stards at the BBC money because I want to watch ITV or some other terrestrial channel. Historically I would pay the TV licence but just avoid the BBC but I couldn’t tolerate giving them any money any more and went the streaming route. Not sure what options I’m going to left with at this point. Could you highlight the method you mentioned to get Netflix cheaper, it wasn’t very clear to me.

Could you clarify....is basic with ads staying at 4.99 and is the standard available again at 10.99 or only old customers

"Buy [stamps] from official retailers like Post Offices" - part of the problem is some of these 'counterfeit' stamps are being bought from Post Offices! Either Royal Mail's counterfeit checking is flawed or even Post Offices are selling from a contaminated supply.

Probably a lot of complaints are because the banks etc have cut down on staffing, banks have closed branches and not everyone is a computer whizz especially the elderly and those will be the people who still have the old bank accounts paying a miserable rate of interest I have a very old savings account with Skipton Building Society they have increased the interest even though it’s an account closed to new customers that obviously doesn’t happen with all banks.

Hopefully they only buy from a legit source. Problem is corner shops who buy from dodgy sellers

The other thing to do id support local venues and local acts.

I still have about 3 dozen 1st class stamps I bought yonks ago, I think they where like 40p per stamp then. Are they still usable?

If you still have old stamps which don't have a barcode on them, they can be exchanged for new barcoded versions through the Royal Mail Stamp Swap Out scheme. To swap out your stamps, you can do one of the following: Pick up or print out a swap out form

Royal mail are charging if your address details are incorrect, so I said cool not paying item return to sender and a full refund fine

And then they'll charge the return sender, who will in turn withhold your item or charge you for re-delivery. So simply refrain from delinquency and write your address correctly in the first instance.

Always look forward to your reviews! On the food inflation, don't forget the Brexit import charges starting this month, after being deferred five times. These are necessary according to our unelected PM to ensure food safety and will provide the most rigorous control in the world. Why they are necessary and have to cost the importers so much is unclear. Things seem to have been OK with out them for how many years? Looks like more Tory ideological pedantry designed to lower our standard of living.. Many importers of EU and other foods will just say f**k it ,so cheeses, meats, plant-based foods and other delicious goodies either wont be available or will cost the earth. As to the five pound coffee, very much a London Guardian story, don't buy it! And stop buying single use cups. We've been conditioned to pay increasing prices. Like elite brand handbags seen in virtually every model shoot now, its bollocks, pressure marketing . Just say no. You've got a brain, use it! Talking of inflation, Andy - Editor-in-Chief?
