Say you have 2 DD one for gym & car tax does this count for the Santander hack? Or would I need to cancel them first?

You should point out that many accounts do not accept joint names on opening the account, (husband and wife) which has inheritance tax implications etc, for example - Oxbury, Atom bank.

Thanks for your video! Sadly, the Oxbury bank one has £20k minimum, not £1k!

Do you think the Santander hack would work while applying for the 2% cashback credit card they're doing?

How do you maximise the Santander edge saver? Do you put 4000 in straight away (if interest paid yearly or put around 90% in to take into account some compounding?

I would think put in £4000 straight away and pull out the interest each month into a different high rate account

The Santander edge says it requires to have 2 direct debits and pay at least £500 each month. So is the hack still working?

@@gthbtn Ooh great, thanks. Once I get my £185 switch offer, I will upgrade to Santander Edge and test it out too. 7% is a very good deal.

Yeah, I think it’s a little faster than I’d like this week, but I like to leave these updates as late in the day as possible so they’re as up to date as possible when it’s published. So that’s start filming at 5pm, edit and upload by 5.45!

The Nationwide rate has dropped right down for anyone applying now... First Direct are the best with 7% and you can save up to £300 a month instead of £200 with Nationwide.

Be aware, to compare rates, you divide the regular saver % by half and multiply that by what your total paid in for a year was. I think the 7% with 300 paid in was £126 in interest over a year for me with first direct. I drip fed monthly paid interest from another saver in to it.

Hi folks - great channel. I’m about to sell my house and move area. I will hopefully end up with about 250k cash but because I’m not in a chain I’m planning to hold onto the money for 6-12months or so before buying my next house. I’ll be living rent free in the meantime in temporary accommodation. I’m just curious where the easiest (no faff) and safest place to invest the money is? Obviously with highest interest rates and return? I might need to access my money fairly quickly after 6months or so. Thanks for any info folks.
