If you knew how to do some great thing, would you tell everybody? Or would you just do it yourself? The latter, of course. People believe what the want to believe. LaPre knew that.

This is such an interesting story. In a way, he was the product of the sales culture and trickle-down theories of the 1980's and 90's, a culture that emphasized big dreams and possibilities of wealth minus any emphasis at all on ethics, honesty, and decency. We're still suffering from the wrong priorities, it seems.

The best money I ever spent. The money I saved by learning about scams, hustles and how to spot one and avoid it, or even flip it back on them has made me a virtual millionaire.

I remember seeing these Don Lapree ads running non stop back in the 90's. This guy ended up going to prison where he took his own life. Cut his own throat I believe.

@AlexF-qx7co I heard that too. But by all accounts, Don's one-bedroom apartment was as tiny as his classified ads.

He spent several days in a gym while feds pursued him.

Placing ads? To advertise what exactly? No sales means no income. Cash doesn't magically appear at your door.

I remember these. They would play them constantly every night around 11pm. I got caught up in Brad Richdale who was almost as bad. Lol, damn. Didnt know he committed suicide. Terrible way to live life. Lying to millions of people for decades then killing yourself.

Long story short his 41 criminal charges so i guess his 900 number was direct to gillette he orderd razors oops 😢

this guy and his infomercials you know he would repeat this same crap over and over🤷🤷🤷🤦 and then another guy would follow he wore a question mark jacket screaming about free money

He started over in a one bedroom apartment in 2011 he also slit his wrists in prison killed himself duh

All of those checks that he's showing, those are the amounts of money that he stole from victims.
