Great show guys, always interested to hear what Paul has to say, he's done great standing in for Super Kev. Wondered what your thoughts are on all the crap thrown at Arteta for "not giving kids a chance" which essentially is a myth but also do these people not realise that when you're challenging for a PL or CL you are taking a risk. People seem to have this misguided idea that every academy graduate is going to be good enough for the first team when the reality is something completely different. You see questions like "is there a pathway for Patino next season", OK is this the Patino who has been on 2 loans the last 2 seasons and not pulled up any trees, this season hardly getting a game for Swansea. So what makes these people think he's suddenly going to be good enough for Arsenal in the PL? I've used him as an example but you can look at lots of other players who've been sent out but not shown any real promise. To give the kids a chance they first need to show they're good enough. The only one showing that at the moment is Nwaneri and he's had a couple of appearances. For sure Arteta could be better at giving kids minutes when nothing is at stake, 6 nil up with 20 to go definitely but otherwise the risk is too high. There's this misconception that they will all make it but generally 1 or 2 a year is about par. That programme I sent you a while back.was a notable exception but far from normal. I once chatted to Gillingham's youth coach, effectively his remit was to develop maybe one player a year that the club could sell for a big fee to help club finances.(He actually brought Steve Bruce through their youth system) I just feel it's another stick people are bringing out to try and beat Mikel with given they're running out of reasons to criticise.

Ella Toone smashed it. I talked about the final a couple of times on Talksport this week. United fully deserved that win. I will never ever cheer for Spurs. May want them to not lose the game, but I will never physically cheer for them. LOL!

Plus now that they still have a chance of top 4 & Champions League, a certain Mr Levy will have his eye on the £40M that comes with entry into the Champions League. when Kaiser Franz started he was a midfielder , as he got older he went to sweeper , great reader of game and his passes 2nd to none . he`s one of the few defenders i`ve absolutely loved . my top 5 players of all l time 1. Maradona 2. Kaiser Franz 3. Ronaldinho 4. Messi 5. a joint 5. Ronaldo 7&9 i`ve been so blessed in my lifetime to have watched great world class players . there is another 10 players from the 1960s onwards .
