I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republika Srpska) city Banja Luka. Some of these Orthodox nuns come here every year, sister Magdalena is the one who is contacting us though the phone. They have so many beautiful things that they are selling, so many good things that they are preparing in their monastery in Belarus and we are very happy to see them each year. Big hello to them from their Orthodox sisters

Sisters, WHO does your videography?!! Beautiful job ❤ Loved every minute if this. So many poinignt parts but there was one nun in particular that stated something that REALLY spoke to my heart, Nun Anfisa: "When we seperate ourselves from God, we limit our horizons greatly." I am a convert to Orthodoxy 8 yrs ago from many years (decades) as a Protestant. I'm in America. All of August has been terrible for me & it all boils down to my distancing myself from God. Not intentionally, but just slowly..."I'm so tired, I just want to go to bed, I'll skip prayer". "I'm so tired, I'm going to be late for work, I don't have time for prayer". Things like this. Before I know it, it's every day. I had a good conversation with my Vladyka yesterday and confession, now feeling renewed with great resolve. I realized something in speaking with him. That as a Protestant, I DEVOURED my Bible. LOVED reading my Bible, would just sit at Starbucks for hours every weekend and read & study it, going into the Hebrew and/or Greek. For NINE YEARS (1 as a catachumen, 8 as an Orthodox Christian) I haven't touched my Bible & that comes out of two attitudes. The 1st is "I found everything as a Protestant I had always been looking for (once coming to Orthodoxy), now I can rest." And the second is, I don't know how to read the bible.....as an Orthodox. I'm scared for lack of a better word. I know how to read it as a Protestant, but not as an Orthodox. This was a HUGE revelation for me. Sister Anfisa's commentary, all of it, I was on the edge of my seat with her. But the commentary about separating ourselves from God and we're limiting our horizons.... That is ALWAYS true. Thank you so much St Elisabeth's Convent for always sharing your world with those of us that live outside your walls. God is so good.

It's so easy for me to forget these days that human beings are meant to express this kind of love, dignity, and goodwill. Or even that we're capable of it. Sometimes I feel surrounded by cruelty, contempt, indifference abd selfishness, and that I am right down there with everyone else, wallowing in it. The people called into monastic life give back so much to the rest of us, and one of their kindest gifts is their example. That a person can own nothing and yet be endlessly wealthy in inner peace, virtue, and wisdom. I am glad there are such dedicated people in this world still.

This was absolutely beautiful! I am very new to Orthodoxy in fact my wife and I are being baptized into the church this coming Saturday after being catechumen for only a year. I visited my first local monastery not too long ago in an effort to deliver the leftover remnants of our candles in our Parish to be melted back down and repurposed into new candles. I misunderstood what the abbess of the house had told me with regard to where to put them and she seemed to get very upset with me and told me it would be a long time before I was extended another invite to the monastery. It was very hurtful to be honest. Obviously I'm sure there is an etiquette involved in visiting monasteries I'm just very new and I did not know any better. I went to my church on the same day afterwards and fell to my knees in front of the altar in tears asking God to forgive me for any harm I may have done. I watched this video primarily because of that situation I wanted to know what this stuff was all about. Such a delight to feel in a sense restored in my spirit about the monastic life and the people there in. In the end I asked her to forgive me and told her that I understood and that the last thing I want to do is to cause anybody any trouble or any harm I just did not know any better. I know that Orthodoxy is very deep and steeped in very rich history and that I have a lot to learn. That being said this video really touched my heart and it is so beautiful and amazing to see all that you are doing with what God has gifted you with! Glory to God for all things!

I was raised Catholic but became born again follower of Jesus in 1993. I still love all the traditions and culture of religion but found a personal relationship with the ONE who loves me unconditionally. For me this was a game changer. I started to chip away at what people saw and became consumed with reformation of my heart, mind and soul. I trust ONE only as HE is worthy . Nobody intercedes for me I go straight to the source , the sacrificed lamb Jesus. The Holy Spirit must stay alive in us and He pops out when HE wants to and where He needs to. Miracles have happened and they were just for me I found. Other humans didn’t see it that way. I pray you all find the deep, personal, relationship only Christ can offer. The buildings are mind blowing beautiful but nothing compares to the brilliance of the Lord in our hearts. Amen ❤
