Drones are controlled by line of sight radio signals. The flying drone looked like it was relaying the control signal to the ground drone and the operator of the ground drone was using the camera of the flying drone to drive the ground drone, eliminated the need for the ground drone to have cameras.

That is true. It may still be useful to have ground footage, or high resolution ground stills sent back to use later for reconnaissance to locate newly mined areas or other obstacles.

@@AD-gi9zg It would be dependent on the size, battery power, distance and needed frequencies. For a "Kamikaze" ground drone the fewer required signals, the better.

what happened? Why is Ukraine digging trenches near Kiev! We were told that there was a counter-offensive in the summer and Russia is about to lose! Why don’t all the weapons of NATO, the USA and several other countries help Ukraine?
