Even though I think she may not be the best person to show up during that time, I still think it's worth forgiving rather than just holding a grudge cuz after all she's part of the family by BLOOD.
Anyone else kind of on Jessica's side? She was wrong to go behind her boyfriend's back and all, but she was right: John and his son were in a bad state and needed the help from his parents. From the way he kept refusing to go to them, it almost felt like John cared more about his pride than about making sure his family didn't end up on the street. So in the end, I can see why she finally got frustrated with it all and decided to cut her losses while she could.
@chunazre3905
Жыл бұрын
Yeh it reeked more of pride than his concern towards his son's feelings of being abandoned; which doesn't exactly make sense because he could have let family take care of their grandson nonetheless, temporarily even.

Yes I am, so in a way it is partly John’s fault for the breakup. However, if not for that, the son probably wouldn’t have gotten to see his biological mum.
@ainnafami5191

Strongly agree!! She just did what she could to help. I think what she did is the best way a girlfriend could do in a situation like that. And leaving John, is a boundary she put. Not her fault from any sides.
@hawkeyepierce7035
Жыл бұрын
She could have been more empathetic and supportive though. She was right in the sense that he should be willing to accept help from his family when he needed it. But she didn’t try to understand why it was hard for him to accept help from his parents. He already felt like a failure. He didn’t need to feel like more of one. And it seemed like she made it all about her. “I can’t live like this, anymore”. A significant other who cares for you should be willing to be by your side during your struggles as well as your successes. And she didn’t encourage him when he expressed his dreams of opening a virtual restaurant. Plus, she knew he was a single parent when she met him. She should have known it wasn’t going to be easy. Although she was right in the sense that he should be willing to accept help from his parents, her dumping him came across as kicking him when he was down.
Jessica wasn't the biological mother, but she did her best to support the role financially and emotionally. Also she wasn't wrong for stepping up, she wasn't doing it for her, she was doing it for them. She didn't just left because of the struggle. She left because he was stubborn. I just didn't like how she ended it up with John because she could have handled it much better rather than breaking John's spirit even more. Btw Mabuhay pinoy!! 😅😘

@@invicphoenix9655 So dont have a kid as a teenager then. The dad was a teen too at the time, and he still put in all that work to raise the kid properly. Wasnt easy for him either but atleast he didnt quit and abandon the kid like this mom did. It is very selfish
I gotta be honest. I slide with the girlfriend in this story. She was right. There is no shame in asking for help from your family in times of need, especially if you have a good relationship with them. I deeply respect that the guy didn't want to take advantage of his parents but in this case, there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking them for help.
@liamisaac1152

Exactly. A parent needs to put their child first before their pride. That’s what it all was about. He cared more about his pride than his son’s wellbeing. My mom was a teen mom. She relied on my grandma’s help while she worked and went to school. If it weren’t for her we would’ve been homeless. It takes a village to raise a child, not a parent who chooses to struggle instead of reaching out for that help. They’re family after all.

Dhar Mann I was a single mom for the longest and the struggle is REAL. I didn't have any support from my parents at all, especially from my narcissistic mother. Somehow I made it thru but only after I moved back in with my parents. My narcissistic mother never let me live it down, telling me I was a horrible mother and I shouldn't be a parent anyway. They tried to take my small daughter away from me and they almost succeeded but they didn't until years later. Eventually my mother brainwashed my daughter, then a beautiful young woman that stopped speaking to me years down the road bc of my mother's unconventional habits. I would love to see a story that you focus on narcissistic mothers and the hell that their grown adult children go through being their child, grown or not. It is more predominant in lives today than ever! I am now 59 years old and through some of the more horrific times at home with my parents, as a grown daughter back then, I've healed and I love to help other grown adult children with NARCISSISTIC mother's ❤️ realize THEY ARE NOT ALONE in their struggles that started back when they were brand new infants in this world. We didn't deserve mother's that hated the very air we breathed! I've watched your videos forever Dhar Mann and you never cease to amaze me how you always flip the script and make those kind of stories inspiring! I want an inspiring story for me and those like me. We didn't have any of that during our childhood years bc narcissism wasn't even looked at way back then. It is a horrible personality disorder they have which prevents the narcissist from getting better since they do not believe they have anything wrong with them. Therefore, they don't change and the victims in each story you've ever heard. God bless you and your lovely family and I do sooo pray that you will make people living with an emotionally abusive narcissistic mother or father, feel that they can now go no contact and practice positive solutions for themselves that they couldn't fathom years ago! There's hope now and I really hope you do a story just for us forgotten victims, so we can now continue down the road of healing, and finally become SURVIVOR'S ❣️I offer myself to help these twin flames of mine, find HOPE where there used to be none. Keep up the amazing work you do and never lose your huge heart ❤️

That part when John broke the news to his parents about his struggles almost made me tear up... The lie, the holding back tears, the disruption in the throat to sniffing tears, Such a good actor 😭
I'm from the Philippines and I have seen a lot of Dhar Mann videos with different nationalities in it and I am just so ecstatic to finally see a Filipino family on a Dhar Mann film. 😍 It is also fitting to the message of the story since Filipino families have close ties and will never leave each other especially their children regardless of their age. Their controlled acting, that scene of Granddad and son during dinner holding their tears was applaudable 👏
uhhh lumpia filipino family. ❤
A great father is a source of building a good son even if he has no wife or girlfriend
This is so sad. Being a single parent really is hard and the sacrifices they make really makes them amazing parents. I love this story so much dhar and I can relate to this as well. He seems like such a great dad and I feel so bad for this situation. ❤ family really is everything
You have people that continue to hold past grudges. Humble yourself the way that child did and forgive and bring love back into your life. Let love lead the way.

@@thepurringninja9367 yea but why didn't she come before when he was struggling or sth? And it was her choice to just abandon the kid who needed his mom, and then she has the audacity to say she thinks abt them everyday bruh
I feel like his ex-girlfriend deserves more
I'm crying myself in my room right now 😭 it's so emotional
I feel bad for Jessica!! This isn't justice!! She was advising him to take help from parents but he didn't and after she left, he did, and stayed with Tina!! That's messed up! Jessica deserved it!
You should always let your parents help you once in a while when you're struggling... there there to help keep you on your feet. There's a difference between being independent and then refusing help when you need it most. Family should always stick together. Real family is there during your worst and best. Great video! :)

the dads acting is so good omg 10/10
This was a sad but ultimately triumphant story about the importance of family and forgiveness. I am glad that the son finally accepted his parents’ call to help him with their grandson. I am glad that the grandson found that he could forgive the Mum who abandoned him. The girlfriend is a good example of a fair weather friend who is only in it for the good times. Liked how it also covered issues like homelessness and workplaces that don’t provide child care support.
I love how the kid is so grateful 😀
2:29 i didnt think i'd beat you two here💀💀
2:13 - they added a eating sound effect. I don't know why I'm dying laughing from it. But I love the video so far.
