Hey, come closer..... It IT IS Nice having your older kids gone. Especially if they are mooching off you. We all knew that the month we turned 18 years young we had to move out. We WANTED to move. We wanted to work and make something of ourselves. I am so happy to be done with parenting and now I am in the Beloved Grandma Stage. This is a fabulous eye opening experience after retirement.

I mean, it kinda depends. If they’ve demonstrated financial responsibility and you trust them, it CAN be okay. But it can also be a risk. My dad co-signed for my lease and my mom co-signed for my car loan (so I could get a longer loan); I have yet to even be late on a payment. Automatic withdrawal and that’s that. I also live on my own, so there’s no one else to consider. Still, I can’t even imagine missing one because it’d screw everyone over and my guess is they’d never trust me about it again. I’m certainly not going to ruin a bad thing. It’s unfortunate that so many people are so irresponsible about it though.

Shaking my head while listening to this case😮 Wow! Co-sign AND bail out a 23 year old with no credit AND then sue. Some people need to understand that some bad things that happen are a result/consequence of a bad decision… not necessarily a law suit. Why do that in the first place?

It's easy for a young person to get good credit get some credit cards keep a running balance for a few years and don't miss or be late on payments. Next a car loan than a house loan

And some end up going back home because they are STILL not ready for the real world… or suffering because they feel the pressure to make it on their own when they are only 18. Age is just a number. Not all 18-year-olds have it together or are mature. They get out of their parents’ house to go live with someone and the problems start.
