Glad to share my Mom's Ultimate Mutton Chops Green Masala Recipe. Succulent Mutton Chops are marinated in a spicy and tangy green masala paste and cooked to perfection. These Mutton Chops are then covered with a thin layer of mashed potatoes, breaded and shallow fried. This is my Mom's Special Recipe - a perfect starter recipe for any occasion or get-together. Just sprinkle some crushed pepper and salt and serve hot !
Ingredients for Mutton Chops Green Masala Recipe -
- Mutton/Lamb Chops - 6 to 7 or approx. 750 grams
- Juice of 1 sour lime
- Salt to taste
For the Marination (Green Masala Paste)
- Garlic - 7 to 8 cloves
- Ginger - 1.5 inches
- Green Chillies - 7 to 8
- Whole spices (Cinnamon stick - 1", Peppercorns - 3/4 tsp, cloves - 4)
- Cumin seeds - 3/4 tsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
- Coriander leaves - a small bunch
Other Ingredients -
- Potatoes - 4 to 5 medium (boiled & mashed. Add a little salt)
- Eggs - 2 whole beaten
- Dried breadcrumbs
- Oil for frying.
