It’s a tradition in Kazakhstan is that the elder son is raised by the grandparents. That's why he called his grandparents Mama and Papa and also dedicated this song to them. He is so proud and thankful of his grandparents and he talks with so much love about them. Greetings from Germany❤️

Dimash and his mother have almost the same soprano voice. She probably sung alot when she was pregnant with Dimash. He said in a interview that if you cut his heart open you will probably see music. That's how dedicated he is. In Kazakhstan the tradition is to give away the first born to their grandma for 10 years. She must raise him like he is her son and then give him back 10 years later. Dimash’s parents, grandparents and Dimash himself have all received the highest award in Kazakhstan of Honoured Workers of Kazakhstan.

Stories told by his Mom are the best ! An interviewer asked: What CAN'T Dimash do ? She paused, laughing eyes, ...well I'll tell you what he WON'T do. What ? Go to the grocery store ! As a toddler both hands folded across his chest No ! all of his life No ! He "doesn't like all that walking around looking and talking " She laughed. We'll have a family gathering, people congregated in the kitchen, in walks an absent minded looking Dimash humming, always music coming out, everybody staring... he'll say what ? One person always says Dimash will you run up to...NO ! In half a second, turns on his heel and runs out ! All of us in hysterics ! she laughing at the memory saying, now he throws his keys to Mansur who loves to drive his car.n

In Kazakhstan culture the first born is raised by the grandparents. Dimash was raised by his grandparents. His grandmother doesn’t like to be called grandmother. He says he has Mama number 1 is grandmother, Mama number 2 is his Mother. He also of corse has Papa 1 and Papa 2. It really doesn’t matter, the whole family lives in the same house. So his brother and sister had the grandparents to help raise them, too. They had 7 years raising Dimash by himself, until his sister was born. That’s why he also sang to the grandmother. 😊❤️
