Dimash’s paternal grandparents raised him as apparently is the custom in Kazakhstan, that the grandparents raise the eldest grandson as their own. Dimash thought his Mum and Dad were his Aunt and Uncle in his early childhood and that his grandparents were his parents..... His paternal grandparents gave him his musical education, while his parents carried on with their studies. They went on to have a daughter and another son. Dimash’s sister is also an amazing singer but she’s nervous to perform (there is a video of her singing All By Myself with Dimash), so she’s studying at Medical School to be a Doctor she’s 19 and so beautiful! His Brother (16) is a Dombra player and sometimes performs at Dimash’s concerts, playing that instrument.

There’s quite an age gap between the siblings: Mansur actually only turned 14 in January.

Dimash seems to have the perfect blend of both his parent’s voices plus twenty years of hard work to take it to an even higher level.

When he was small, Dimash was practically raised by his grandparents because of his parents’ busy schedule as well as the first child tradition in Kazakhstan. They all live together in a big house. That’s why he also sang the song dedicated to his grandparents.

I thought the same as you when I saw this performance, but then I was told that the lady in white is Dimash’s great-aunt, and she’s sitting next to his paternal grandparents; his maternal grandmother isn’t present.

The video you're looking for is the song "Marigolds" from his Arnau concert in Kiev 2020. As a surprise for both his Mother and the Audience, he learned the song in Ukranian only the night before. 😃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

Dimash is from heaven, even at such a young age he is already the greatest singer in all times, I can't stop listening to him, his songs not only touched my heart but the depth of my soul. It warms my heart to see how loving he is towards parents & grandparents, uncontrollable tears will flow whenever I watch those videos, I became a dear 'fan' right a way, much love from Canada!

Beautiful talented family and as a result - amazing singer DIMASH. His sister Raushan also has a beautiful voice but she doesn't want to sing. DIMASH and Raushan sing together "all by myself", very beautiful performance. Be happy.

When Dimash was small his parents performed together. His grandparents would take him to watch them and when they were finished he would run up on stage and take a bow with them. He said he loved having the audience applause. So of course he's very comfortable being on stage since he started so young and he has said he's at his happiest in life being on stage and knowing at least one member of his family is either in the audience or backstage. Also, when his parents were very young and he was small, I wonder if they ever thought about being on stage many years in the future singing with their firstborn. Sweet! And, judging by your face, I'm guessing you're very close to your own mother.
