Unbelievable! How Greedy can a person be! This Mother is Absurd!! I remember seeing the Mother and her other Daughter on TV a week after this happened, crying a river of tears! Little did I know that they were crying about the Millions they were going to lose out on!! And to think that the Husband nearly lost his own life....and now he has to deal with this level of Greed!!! Again, Totally Unbelievable!!

The bride literally said she’s so happy and this was the happiest moment of her life

It makes you wonder how rotten her soul would have to be, to challenge her dead daughter's marriage to receive her estate instead of grieving with her son in law.

At first I thought they were going to say the bride & groom took out life insurance prior to the wedding & the groom paid someone to take the bride out so he could collect. Stranger things have happened when it comes to greed. I think that would be the only reason to challenge the validity of the marriage, but the way it played out no matter how you see it, it's just tragic. And this only made worse by the bride's mother worrying about inheriting her daughter's estate, instead of her husband. Can't help but feel terrible for this couple who had their whole lives together to look forward to. If I were her mother I'd be more concerned the drunk driver received the maximum sentence for what he did & especially the day he did it.

Just because the marriage was one day, doesn't erase the long time commitment they already shared--- the relationship was much longer. They were basically "married" in every sense of the word. From a societal standpoint it is literally "thankless" and daughters traditionally do NOT financially support their (married) mothers. Number two even if it did somehow create equity, this was not a teen who left her parent's house the night before. Can't believe she's so greedy She Wants It All and then has the nerve to try to invalidate their marriage because they were not able to consummate it even though we all know they consummated their relationship countless times before. How disgusting of her 😒

This accident happened AFTER the marriage so the groom is the husband. The mother of the bride is the ultimate description of greed! Plus they probably dated/lived together for years prior to marriage. I could see the groom offering to help the mother in law out if she needed it but for her to go after money and say they weren't married is just pure greed. My aunt lost her daughter suddenly when her daughter was only 28. My aunt is now in her 80's and still grieves daily for the loss of her daughter. No amount of money will take away the pain of losing your only child.

How disgraceful. The mom isn't honoring her daughter's memory by doubting the marriage.

I lost my 21 year old son and I cannot believe this woman's behavior! How utterly disgusting. Id give everything I have to give to have my son back.

The mother was NOT involved in the crash, she should not feel any entitlement for that money. Was she the one hit? Was she the one in the hospital? The money should go to those involved in the accident, which was the groom and the bride. Because they were married, which means what’s mine is yours now, he should get the full sum of the money since the wife is not here to claim it. The mother should have 0!!!! Entitlement to that money. The mother is greedy af and need to have several seats.

Well, after a bit of research it seems that having just a ceremony might indeed not be enough to prove a marriage is in fact legal. Hopefully they both signed their marriage certificate before the wedding.

Well sure, this tale is old as time, however this age makes it only worse, money truly is the only thing I work for in my life and it’s the only thing that matters since I have no family and not enough time for friends, I work 4 jobs and still hardly pay rent enough with an extra 100 a week.

The poor hubby, could you imagine?! He lost his wife so tragically, and now he has deal with his crazy mother in law?! 😢😢

Just sad! That poor HUSBAND! I knew what mom's intentions were when I watched her interview on the news, and she was telling the reporter that her daughter is to be referred to by her maiden name. I said to myself, "Yikes, she just lost her daughter, and she's worried about what her last name is on the news?!"
