Same. I grew up with just one brother, but my mom had five siblings, and all of them had 3,4, or 5 kids. When we were with our cousins we were a big bunch. Plus , some of my first cousins were 15 years older than me, so we had the next batch of cousins joining the mix.

Sarah those meals sounded scrumptious! And don't appologize for the noise of the kids, they are kids and they were not screaming loud they were having a conversation with one another. After all they are a part of why you do what you do. You are truly blessed, just think someday sooner than you know it you won't know what to do with all that quiet when the littles get older😳

Here’s my quick delicious easy pasta supper. Boil a package of egg noodles and place in 9x13 dish. Melt 8oz of cream cheese with about a cup of milk, pour over noodles. Brown ground beef and add spaghetti sauce. Pour sauce mixture over noodles. Top with Mozzarella cheese and bake til bubbly. Enjoy 💜💜

When I started cooking for just myself & my husband vs the family I grew up in 7 children 2 Parents and always extra kids, my husband said “how many people are you cooking for”. Based on the amount of food I had cooking. It was hard for me to cook for 2 since I was used to cooking for a much larger crowd.

Truths I was used to cooking for my family of five and my kids always had friends over so throw in some extras pasta or beans and when the boys grew up and after my first husband died I can't cook for just my youngest son and I. He took me into his house after my second husband died. So I still cook that way but the since my son works 5-6 days a week now we take Tupperware and fill them with enough for him to eat for the week and then we only have to eat that meal maybe twice in a row. It will all even out in the end.

Sarah, Bread, and soup look amazing! Did it make the rotation? Must agree, and so true! As kids get older (started mine as teenagers), they need to learn essential skills so they can be productive as adults; they need to learn how to do laundry, cook, and clean; these skills help them be better adults, and they have to have their own homes or apartments one day and need to be efficient at supporting themselves; crucial to learn these skills

I love watching your videos, you have such a beautiful family! I have 5 boys, almost all grown now. Something I used to do to make meal prep easier was to fill my electric turkey roaster with ground beef (I would fill it with frozen chubs of burger to see how much would fit, then I would let it thaw and return to the roaster) then just cook it in the roaster with whatever seasonings you like (I just used salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder) then once it was done I would drain it, portion it out and freeze it. Then its ready for you when you need it.

I do the same when meal planning for the week - each night is a "theme", not that you cannot vary this, but sure makes planning so much easier for me. Sunday - Sunday dinner: think baked ham, roasted chicken, roast etc Monday - Burgers: but this can be chicken sandwich, tenderloin, hot ham and cheese etc Tuesday - Taco Tuesday: anything Mexican inspired Wednesday - Hot Dogs: sausage type meal in any form Thursday - Pasta of any kind Friday - always pizza Saturday - anything and everything: sometimes a new recipe, sometimes we go out, tried and true favorite This is always the plan but there is usually one or 2 days we have leftovers.

You can roll out pizza dough into crusts and freeze those - or even freeze entire prepped pizzas and make your own frozen pizzas to throw in the oven when you're busy. Just freeze flat on sheet trays and then wrap in parchment or plastic and you can stack them once they're solid.

Here's a versatile recipe we love. Browned ground beef, onion, garlic, seasonings of choice Mexican style, fry it until it's how you like it, add some chopped zucchini or yellow squash and fry a little longer. Add drained corn, drained black beans, chopped fresh or canned tomatoes and heat through. Add cooked rice or quinoa. Adjust the seasonings to your taste. Top with fresh cilantro, lime, sour cream and cheese or some or none of the above. It's good in a tortilla, bowl or salad. Very colorful and everyone I've made it for loves it in all of the forms. Thanks for sharing your recipe guides. One more thing- if I'm serving it in tortillas I use less rice/quinoa or omit it all together. For my family it's a pound of ground beef, and 1 can of everything else and a couple of zucchinis, 1 onion

I’ve had luck cooking pizza with my roaster oven. I’ve used a 11x9 Pyrex glass casserole pan (on the wire rack not the bottom of the roaster). Lower the temperatures a bit if it’s a high temp recipe, precook just the crust for a while then add the sauce & toppings. You can take the lid off once in awhile to let extra steam escape. I’ve cooked many foods this way(even cake). Through experimenting you can figure out the best temp. In the summer if you cook in the garage the house stays cool. Love your videos!

if your bbq has a hood, you can use that for pizza. i use mine all the time. you need to put a steel colinder on the grill to lift your pizza up off direct flame and bake as normal. place pizza tray /stone on top of colinder. i can fir two trays in my six burner

Add basil to your tomatoe soup also. Then make a artisan maple bacon grilled cheese. Dip the grilled cheese into the soup. Silver dollar city does a soup and grilled cheese like that. My son and i tried to duplicate it at home. And it was good but not as good as sdc version but was way cheaper. Lol

I liked the looks of all the dinners. It is just my husband and I now so the volume of food you put out is entertaining and slightly overwhelming. T We had 5 kids and their friends for dinner most nights. We lived in the parsonage up the hill from the church my husband pastored and we frequently had 10 or 12 for dinner each night. It is kinda familiar to me. The kind of dinners are similar and stretchy which comes in handy not knowing how many we would have at the table. It didn’t seem overwhelming or hard in those days. Now I would be able to do it but probably not get through the dishes. Sheesh! Good job. It’s always fun to see what your family is up to. Blessings to you all.

Love the meal videos. Have you tried making the pizzas on your Blackstone? I've never used one myself, but do them on my grill when it's too hot to use the oven.

Love all your videos! Since you are now out in the country will you add a clothesline outside? My dryer died about a 2 years ago & I started letting everything hang to dry. Hopefully saves some $$! Blessings to you all!

I do have a small clothesline but it takes so long to dry and it has been super windy here.

3:35 easy dinner: two packs of boneless, skinless chicken thighs, two cans of cream of chicken, two cans of cream of mushroom, frozen onions, a little salt and pepper and and onion powder. Cool in crockpot for 6 hours on high and then make egg noodles or instant white rice or even mashed potatoes and pour on top. It’s delicious!!!

Have you ever tried West African Ground Nut sauce ? I cooked it the third time last Sunday and it was excellent. If you're not allergic to peanuts this is worth trying with rice potatoes or cooked green bananas.

We only make 4 pizzas but we do them on cookie sheets and with the convection oven we can cook them all together.
