Hey Sarah you can successfully freeze fresh ginger, fresh garlic and fresh turmeric which can then be grated straight from the freezer. Also frozen grapes in the summer are excellent either to eat or to drop into drinks. Tori is a great artist. Love the apron.

For your budding artists, those watercolor pencils can be used in a variety of ways. Draw and color with them then go over the drawing with a paint brush for a watercolor paint effect. Layering colors add dimension. Also, dipping the pencils in a bit of water and drawing gives a different effect. Doing the first step and then adding details with a dry pencil adds interest. Finally, they can just be used like a normal colored pencil! Have fun!

I started fermenting cabbage, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and making kimchi following Mary's Nest. She is an amazing teacher. My sto.ach problems have almost disappeared since eating all things fermented. Tori will have a good career if she chooses hairdressing, my friend is a hairdresser and he always says it gave him a good life, putting kids through university etc. I've taken to wearing an apron lately and must say i love having clean clothes by end of day!! I love seeing ducks outside your kitchen window too! The At Home With The Zimmermans kids are wonderful doing their chores with the animals every morning before school, i love seeing their cats run to the milking barn in the morning to get their squirt of milk, so adorable. Blessings from Ireland ❤️ 🇮🇪 🙏

Hi Sarah. I just wanted to say in this video and a few other videos in the past you’ve supported how amazing Tori would be as a hair dresser. I just wanted to thank you for not putting pressure on her to push her to have a crazy unrealistic job like my mother did on me. My sister and I had it ingrained in us that the only jobs we were allowed to have were ones where we would “cure cancer” (not specifically that but high impact jobs) which really affected us where we had to always have above perfect grades in school and and be involved with a certain group of people. It would’ve been refreshing to just have support in careers where we are actually happy in. I’m currently a small pastry chef and my sister is continuing her education to become a teacher. My mother believes “we can do better” but we are extremely happy with what we’re doing and watching you support Tori’s hairdressing choice is really great ❤

Hi Sarah, to make crunchy dill pickled cucumbers you can add a bay leaf, (that’s what makes them crunchy)add two garlic cloves or more if you want, fresh dill, a few peppercorns, if you want a small piece of spicy pepper, there are more possibilities like mustard seeds, etc.,then the brine and the pickles come out delicious after five days of fermenting.

Hi Sarah, it's so exciting when the hens start their egg production. We had 100 chicken once and , sometimes the eggs were really gross. I was advised by my doctor, to wash eggs before using, with a little vineger or colorox. I used 1/4 tsp. per dozen. Due to possible salmonella contamination. I hope this is helpful. 🤣😇 I look forward to your , and Papa's weekly vlogs .🙏🏼👏🏼🧑‍🤝‍🧑👭🏼👫🏼👬🏼🐣🐔🦆

We had all kinds of animals and they were all free range as well as me and my sisters. We would run out the door barefoot and played in the creek and the woods. We had a fresh spring water that we drank out of. Best way to grow up. Your kids are so blessed.

I love watching you try new things. I also enjoy watching Lisa's channel. The carrot tops can be used(chopped up) in soups, even salads, but I prefer soups. The bagels look nice. I have taken your example for storing lemon juice. It saves it from going bad. The girls did a good job with their hairstyles.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Faith has grown so much.

Plumbs are great canned in a light syrup. Just leave the pits in and take them out when you eat them

When you mentioned making plum jam my mouth started to water. My Daddy made it when I was young. It was so good! I wish I could have some now. We had plum trees and he would make several big batches. He stored them under the bed. Oh man I miss him!

I keep my ginger in the freezer. When I want some, I peel and grate with a hand grater. I always have access to fresh ginger and no waste.
