He helps me too being interracial. Raised in a black home so many of my fellow blacks made me feel I wasn't dark enough to call myself black. But I certainly couldn't say I was white. It took years to accept what I saw in the mirror. I was even called ugly as a teen and I felt ugly into my 20s.

As someone who lost her best friend,her Momma, several years ago...... I love how Ling and Lam keep her parents as integral parts of their lives!!!! Family is everything!!! When I was a kid and lived on Westside of Buffalo, it was predominantly first and second generation Italian/Sicilian. You could always smell homemade sauce!! Anyways, grandparents moved in with their kids and played an important part in the family. They were highly respected and valued but knew their place. It was son and daughters home! We went to the same school our parents went. We were a community, a family. Today we are such a mobile society . Many kids feel so entitled and parents and grandparents are not given the respect and honor they deserve.I know many families have stories and issues. But it’s so great to see you two respect and honor your parents!! 💟💟💟💟💟💟
