Mom Charged After Baby Found Abandoned Near Ambulance: Cops

A newborn left near an ambulance in the middle of the night is now in the care of a hospital. Two New York City first responders were ending their shift when there was a knock on the door. "a man approached the ambulance and informed us that there was a newborn infant abandoned on the sidewalk," said EMT Mia Chin. Inside Edition Digital has the story.

Sounds like she left the baby with medical personnel. Hope the mother is ok. I don’t understand why ever time someone leaves a baby at one of the drop off points it makes in on the news. Looking for the mother or putting them in custody. I’m guessing the mother had problems. An abundance looks like a safe place to get a newborn. Better than a dumpster. Or bathroom. Idk anymore information would be appreciated.

That h**dr@+ is crazy. Despite the obvious evidence, the Defense is playing every card they can to justify get actions. I mean I can kinda symopotize with the women who had a mental breakdown and end up harming their children. Trevizo is a different story though, because she wrapped up her newborn on the spot and placed it at the bottom of a trash can and in front of the hospital staff she acted like nothing happened, only to later play dumb. Prosecuting her isn't as easy as the DOJ wants, because don't forget that other case with Brooke Skylar Richardson, who killed and buried her newborn and was found Not Guilty. Trevizo's Defense team can literally use that situation to argue in so many different ways, and half of them would be in Trevizo's favor.

It's better than a dumpster but not by much, abandoning a baby on the side of the road in the middle of the night where it can't be easily seen or found is not a responsible way to do it. it should be taken to the proper authorities or at the very least be put in a high traffic area where it is likely to be found within a few minutes.
