I'm sorry, I'm a huge homer, but I just can't get over how extremely fluent and beautiful Swedish sounds in singing. The language was basically made for music. It's musical in its basis. Different vowels (and we have so many) have natural tones that are so easy to create fluent music in. High tone or low tone? You'll find it, no problem. Also the entire language can be in the front of the mouth if you choose your lyrics properly, which makes for clear articulation, yet so fluent with all vowels. It's the vowels that create music and you don't want gluttural distortion unless for other genres with proper technique.

I absolutely adore Swedish as a language for music. When spoken, it also sounds incredibly unique compared to other Germanic languages. I vastly prefer Molly's Swedish language albums, the music is more interesting and her voice captivating. Being Slovak, I also think Slovak is incredible for singing. The language has rather strict sentence pacing and rules regarding short and long vowels. Song writers have to write songs in a way that the melodies fit the elongated vowels grammatically. I think it comes naturally to Slovaks, but once you listen closely, you recognize that the language has a relatively strong influence on the song composition. @@n0namesowhatblerp362 Listen to Molly sing. Basically all the singing is either in the center or the front of the mouth. Notice the amount of consonants in the front of the mouth. It's a mix. I would describe it as "frontal" comparing it to many other languages, but sure, it's also alot of sounds in the central part. Basically ALL the consonants used in Swedish lyrics are frontal, which mixes really well with the vowels.

Fais toi un petit séjour en Suède à Stockholm une semaine entre juin et septembre, franchement c'est la meilleure période. Je vais en Suède (pas forcément à Stockholm) quasiment tous les ans et je ne m'en lasse pas.

@@balkanthings7792 I'm Australian and I'd never heard a Swedish song until last month, when I heard Molly sing Rosa Himmel. My first impression of Swedish is that it has a natural musical quality that makes it an ideal language to sing in. It sounds FAR more polished and articulate than Australian English, where we tend to run our words into each other. It also sounds like a blend of French, German and something else...maybe Dutch or Afrikaans? I guess because all of these (except French of course) are Germanic languages. I listen to Molly's Swedish songs every day, following with the lyrics and in only a week I have learnt some words and been able to sing along (without looking at the lyrics), but I used to speak German (it's a bit rusty now!). There are some pretty cool sounding words that we don't have in English, like when Molly sings "vågar jag, vågar du, vågar vi släppa taget", plus some in Sverige (with Victor Leksell). I'd now like to learn to speak Swedish properly and visit there in the next few years.

Very few Swedish stars become big internationally. They don't have huge promotors and money behind them. Hence, more and more of them choose to sing in their native language, Swedish. Sweden is very blessed with so many sublime singers. Molly Sandén is just one of a big group who could all be world stars if they had rich promotors. US singers are a big notch below Swedish singers, but they have the dollars behind them.

@@cripplerick1 Well, i don't know of the genres you'd like, but when it comes to this type of music, I'm well versed in Swedish music. I'm not a pop fan myself, but I can see quality in it and enjoy it anyway. I'm much more of a metal/ industrial rock/ classical/ folk music/ pagan music fan myself. However I would recommend you to listen some of Loreen, Agnes Carlsson, Laleh, Veronica Maggio, Zara Larsson (I don't like her, she's an idiot, but she's a formidable artist) and Miriam Bryant as a start when it comes to the Swedish females. Then we have a bunch of men/ male bands.

I mostly like hard rock, breaking benjamin, in this moment, the pretty wreckless, slipknot, I prevail, icon for hire, etc. But i also like dubstep and nightcore like daft punk and skrillex and stuff too. I have music I like all over the genres lol
