I'm so conflicted about this lol. On one hand the grandma repeatedly ignoring and invalidating the child's feeling is horrible, on the other hand the child's behavior is horrible too and not justifiable. Well much food for thought I guess

Sometimes you can't beat reality: Kitties are cuter and more relatable than human children.

Theres nothing as despicable as being cruel to an animal. No matter what the reason. !

It started adorable, it got comical, then it peaked at pure horror, and then we got to laugh it off at the end X3

Damn, that's one sturdy kitten. It survived drowning, beating AND electrocution, all at once.

Je ne suis pas d’accord pour la fin. Dans la vraie vie, le chat il serait mort. Faire croire que le chat a pu survivre sous l’eau et en ayant reçus un coup de grille en pain en plus sur la tête, c’est inimaginable et n’importe quoi, même pour un dessin animé. La petite en plus, n’a pas vraiment eu énormément de dialogues avec sa grand mère.

Outch, voilà un court-métrage qui apporte une bonne leçon sur l'éducation. Mais le coup du chat noyé m'a été difficilement tenable. Conséquence du désintérêt soudain de la mamie et de la fille autrefois trop pourries gâtée a qui on ne lui a pas expliqué qu'elle n'est pas seul au monde...

Si la réaction du public souhaité par les auteurs est de faire réfléchir sur le besoin d'attention via un évènement choc, alors ils ont réussi leur œuvre !

ce n'est que de l'animation et heureusement haha, mais je trouve qu'il y a des court-métrages bien plus impactant d'esma que celui ci, limite je le trouve + comique que cruel :)

If it were realistic I would just cut the film to the mark and not show the cat. There's no way the cat would survive

Choquée par la maltraitance animale qui est ici banalisée, même si ce n'est qu'un film d'animation. Pour moi, ça gâche tout!

C’est sur, mais l’adulte est pire. Car c’est entièrement de la faute de la vieille qui du jour au lendemain fait passer sa petite fille au second rang. Elle ne lui apprend rien et la maltraitance animal arrive par sa faute. J’ai pas du tout aimé la fin par exemple. Bref un adulte irresponsable qui entraîne la vengeance d’une petite fille qui a perdu sa place contre le chat qui lui n’y est pour rien.

J'aime beaucoup ce que font les élèves d'Esma habituellement mais là désolée, je n'adhère pas. J'aime les animaux et là on voit clairement une gamine dérangée s'en prendre à un animal. Même si l'animation en elle même est réussie, il ne faut pas oublier les valeurs qu'elle véhicule

I think, that's the whole point of this animation. We see a happy ending, where the cat and the granny are just injured and the girl is learning to take care of them both (as opposed to being constantly taken care of by her grandmother). But the viewer instantly knows, that the cat would be dead, the granny's situation could be more serious and the kid would likely be injured as well on top of feeling abandoned and literally killing an innocent living thing out of jealousy, if that same story happened irl. Not to mention, instead of a beloved pet, the target of aggression could be a baby sibling or a disabled relative. I don't think this work promotes animal cruelty or neglecting emotional issues of little children. It's precisely a warning against it. Light-hearted and bright approach is meant to highlight, how serious these issues could be, if ignored. I don't think this animation was ever meant for small children to watch without an adult supervision and commentary to begin with.

Spoiled child? Thinking SHE was important and demanding grandma's attention. She never learned to share, as was evident when grandma brought the kitten home. So who failed in the girl's education? Was it the parents, who likely treated her as she was acting. Or grandma for helping to reinforce the girl's belief how important she believed herself to be. Grandma could have had the girl get out of the pool to get her own drink refill and cookie. Grandma could have included the girl in caring for the kitten, instead of ignoring the girl as she did. Because of what that girl tried to do to that cat, she is a candidate for counseling.

Honestly this does not do it,, this channel is full of really catching, fun, and.some horrifying (but still interesting) stories- this isn't one of them. Grandma who focused only on the cat, kid who has no idea what to do so resorts to violence not once but thrice, poor cat. Then no consequences for attempting murder on the cat, and almost incidentally killing grandma the short just ends on a "haha cat can't eat on its own" :// maybe there will be better ones

hoy hay demasiados medios técnicos pero talento para crear buenas historias escasea. El arte tiene más que ver con el talento y la creatividad, no con la tecnología.

Me parece cruel, aún más porque se supone que está pensada para niños. El gatito es un tanto agresivo rompiendo el juguete de la niña, pero la reacción de ella es incomparablemente peor. La abuela mima al gato y presta poca atención a la niña. La falta de empatía y el exceso de violencia son malos ejemplos para cualquier niño.

It would have been a good short if they had chosen the horror genre instead of comedy (it's not funny at all). Je comprends tout à fait Molly qui se trouve brutalement délaissée par sa mamie qui n’en avait que pour elle ,pour un chaton …quand à sa notion du bien et du mal elle est encore jeune et donc excusable .sa mamie qui la punie systématiquement est en tord . Quand au chaton c’est un petit emmerdeur qui semble avoir une santé de fer .donc tout va bien .en tous les cas .tout est génial bravo à l’équipe de réalisation 😊

Mais c'est horrible ! La gamine maltraite le chat, elle essaye même de le tuer et manque de tuer sa grand-mère par la même occasion, tout ça juste par jalousie, et elle est juste punie comme si elle avait fait une simple bêtise ?! Je n'aime pas du tout l'absence de morale de ce court métrage qui cautionne la maltraitance animale.

Ce film d'animation est UNE honte, une degeneration du genre humain, autant la realisation est techniquement bien foutue, autant le scénario est pitoyable, sans aucune morale est si l'esma a validé ce Choix, on est tombé Bien bas.
