This video is about 7 kinds of typical structures for injection molds. And how these structures work. But these are simple structures.
The following is a brief introduction to these seven structures.
1.single parting injection mold
The single parting line injection mold is also called a two-plate mold. It is the simplest and most common type of injection mold.
This type of mold is ejection in that the plastic part and the runner materials are released on the same parting surface.
2.Double parting injection mold
The double-part molding injection mold is also called three-plate injection mold. It is used for single or multi-cavity molds of pin point gate feeding.
3.Injection mold with movable inserts
Plastic parts with internal and external recessed or Half blocks.
When the mold is opened, these parts cannot simply be separated from the plastic part in the opening direction. It must be removed from the mold together with the plastic part when ejection. Then separate it from the plastic part by hand or with a simple tool.
4.Horizontal parting line core-pulling injection mold
When the plastic part has side holes or undercuts, a horizontal parting core pulling mechanism such as angle pin or a slide block is provided in the mold for automatic operation.
5.Automatic unloading thread injection mold
Plastic parts with internal or external threads need to be automatically ejection. A rotating threaded core is provided on the mold. Use the rotary motion or reciprocating motion of the injection molding machine. Drive the thread core to rotate, so that the part is released.
6.Stack injection mold
This is a two-layer injection mold with a common runner. It is equivalent to being overlapped by two two-plate injection molds.
7.Hot runner injection mold
Use the method of heating or insulating the runner. To keep the plastic from the injection molding machine nozzle to the cavity gate molten. In each injection cycle, only the plastic parts are ejected and have not runner scrap.
