We will be visiting this magical place later in the year to see old friends after the passing of my wife's mom. You see her family moved from the US in the early 1970's when a mixture of artists and travelers integrated with the locals at a time of great change in Spain and the US. Well before the development on La Playa. They opened a Saloon and became a part of the history of that time when traditions were absorbing new freedoms. Lovely people there. It is a good place to live. There is a small group of older British who live there. I used to stay 6 months of the year in my Apartment but I’m not going to give it up now Brexit has stopped me doing that. I love it there but I like my caravan in South Oxfordshire on a farm. The Peablo is very tourist driven now and there are to many cheap tourist shops. There is a small grocery shop which is very good and a Bank (Unijaca) Lots of restaurants and bars. During that Christmas light display you dare not drive your car as you had to wait at the Playa because of the queues to get home. I’m going back soon to sit on my terrace and enjoy the view over the desert below, the mountains and tiny villages in the distance like Bedar and of course the view of the bay and sea.

Don't tell too many people about this amazing place it'll get overrun lol - My sister lives nearby (In Huerta) and we love to visit whenever possible and its stunning. We will be here again for the whole of June this year 🌞 Have you been to Garrucha , Los Gallardos and Turre also lovely too?
