I made this yesterday. I added chopped pears instead of nuts. I also added a little cinnamon extract to the frosting, because why not. It's the best spice cake I've ever tested, primarily because it's heavy on the spices, where most aren't. Great recipe!

I do love my cinnamon and the extract is perfect for lighter recipes, like frostings, where you want the flavor but not the bite.

Its amazing to see how western people use the spices , for cakes/ snacks. Indonesia is famous as country of spices , but we never use many kinds of spices for sweet snacks. Mainly for savoury dishes n snacks. Sometimes for sweet beverages but not for sweet snacks . Sweet snacks w choco / fruity/ nutty flavors r more popular here👍
