I think this is definately the best song Moira Kerr sings - excellent. I first heard it when it was aired on BBC Scotland circa 1987 to accompany a documentary called 'Eagles Eyeview' or something similar. It showed scenes of Glencoe from the view of an eagle - this track was a perfect accompaniment to the programme. Best wishes.

I remember "Eagle's Eye View". It was first broadcast on 13 Feb 1989. Due to powercut in the Highlands caused by bad weather it was decided to repeat it 2 weeks later. It was also repeated in late December 1989.

A song about one of the most shocking atrocities, instigated by the king and carried out by a rival clan.
@rabhodge1587
2 жыл бұрын
It wasn’t carried out by a rival clan , it was carried out by Hannoverian soldiers under the command of Glen Lyon , yes a Campbell but I think if you done a little more research I think you’ll find very few of them were Campbells . Yes the Campbells were set up to take the blame under the pretence it was Clan rivalry

Fantastic song, but, surely we can expect photos of Glencoe!! Aren,t there many beautiful scenes of Glencoe available? Scotland is all beautiful, but I,m disappointed that no scenes of Glencoe were displayed in this video. Sorry, but it spoiled it for me.

There are photos of Glencoe in this video, 7 seconds in that's Buachaille Etive Mòr, at 1.30 that looks a lot like Glen Etiv, 1.35 is Loch Achtriochtan and those are just the ones I recognised.
