I miss leaf 🍃 moi-moi. Taste very unique and different. Wish I can appear in your kitchen Sisi 😂❤️❤️❤️
In Cameroon 🇨🇲 we call it koki instead of the peppers for redness we add red oil no fish no eggs 😀 we put pepper to make it spicy and use plantains or banana leaf 😊😋
She is just the best!! She put all her energy in her work, that is why is growing. I love moi-moi.
Sisi Yemmie may Jehovah bless you🙏you just made making moin moin easy for me. I have struggled to fold the leaves but your video just made my life easier, thank you for all you do.
Great recipe. The leaves are not banana leaves. They naturally grow in the forest but they don’t bare bananas fruits. Banana leaves are bigger.

My grandma grew these leaves. We called them "etere." But she grew 2 varieties of them. She said one was for moin-moin and the other was for agidi. She said their flavors were different. Even the people who came to buy from our home made sure they cut the right leaves for whatever they were making. 🤷♀️
Honestly, that's the perfect pot for moin-moin. I love the bits of moin-moin that is stuck to the sides of the leaves as well😍

I'm here to say thank you for showing me how to use a blender to wash n peel beans. I just tried it, worked perfectly. I've learnt a lot from you but I'm super excited abt this one cos I'm not in Naija where I can buy moi-moi easily, so to eat moimoi or akara, I have to prepare myself. God bless you 🙏🤗
Sisi Yemmie they are not banana leaves. As far as I am aware they don’t have a common English name🤔. The plant’s scientific name is Thaumatococcus daniellii. I just call them Ewe Moin moin. Apparently they are called Ewe eran 🐄 🐐 too😊

Another method is to peel with your food processor. Soak for a few minutes, put in your kneading blade and blend. It saves you the time and energy used for pulsing with a normal blender
Looks so good 😍
