They changed up the course at this year's Mohican 100, sending riders through a full second loop of the State Park singletrack. The heavy rains the night before made for tough conditions the day of the race but most riders pushed through and 'most' were stoked.
Mohican is part of the NUE (National Ultra Endurance) Series. You only have to participate in three races to qualify for the championship.

I just realized I committed a major continuity crime! The “first mountain bike race guy” at the start and at the aid station is a DIFFERENT “first mountain bike race guy” than the one in the rock garden (the orange helmet was a nice clue). I hope no “first mountain bike race guys’” feelings were injured during the making of this film.
Man this looks so awesome. I just moved to Ohio 2 month ago! Haven’t trained in like 5 years but I’m doing the 100k next month!! I can’t wait!
That guy came in shortly behind me. It was dark and I sensed he was spent but not that gone. Wow. Way to push forward to avoid the DNF.
