Well Hijab SHOULD have used his akhlak and realised the statements he’s making (mostly for clickbait), and how the non-Muslims and enemies of Islam, will take what he says, as literally and out of context. He didn’t explain himself properly and he was NOT quick enough to explain the arguments against marrying a pubescent teen, which then will be used against Islam, HIM and Muslim men. This just proves, you can have all the degrees and PHD titles before or after your name, but if you lack common sense and a little bit of hindsight (forward thinking), your own words could be used against you, and used to forward Islamaphobia and misinformation about Islam in the mainstream. Isn’t that what happened to the Tates? They used outlandish statements for clickbait and to gain traction and an audience, to then be accused of many things, from those short, edited clips. Mohammed Hijab’s job now, to save his reputation and future misinterpretation of these clips, is to either retract what he said, or clarify it clearly, in layman’s terms, so non-Muslims will understand, and also use British history, science, poverty, environment as evidence of why those marriages took place at that place in time and why it may still happen in other parts of the world today. Maybe Muslim dawah guys, should actually leave this particular topic to Muslim dawah sisters, who with Islamic knowledge, can explain it better, and it would sound very different, coming from a female perspective, rather than a Muslim man, trying to justify why marriage to pubescent teens (if they are mentally and emotionally ready), would be acceptable in Islam, if the law and society they lived in, allowed it. Yusuf Ponders actually did a much better job explaining this particular topic on a podcast and he was able to take in the sensitivity of this subject and highlight, using history and science, why is was permitted in Islam in history. All the guests on the panel sound so shocked about pubescent children and sex, even though, they advocate for sex education in early primary schools, and the use of contraceptives for young girls, because they fully well are aware of what the average age of losing ones virginity is in the UK (non-Muslims), and when teens are sexually active in the UK. So in their world, it’s ok for young pubescent children to HAVE sex, but as long as it’s outside of marriage and NOT to one partner (husband), in a safe environment, but it’s totally ok to engage with randoms, without the knowledge of their parents and in an unsafe environment, where the young teens will be vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. It’s NOT Muslim men who are buying remote islands, flying their rich friends (who I’m sure many of these hypocrites are aware about), and doing God knows what on those islands, under the watchful eyes of the world, BUT mainstream media totally ignores that. Remember Jimmy Savile and Philip Schofield anyone? All protected by the BBC and many of the elites and even those who chose to ignore it, because they want to climb that ladder.

Hijab was quoted out of context, I watched the entire video a long ago. I think he ended with ".. that is why you need the hadith". But hijab translated the verse wrong, it says those who did not have menstruation not prepuscent. Though his point about the Quran was right, you can infact have intercouse with a woman who has not menstruated, like a 16 year old woman, it can happen. Even 14, why does it have to be 16.

Has anyone noticed how there is no issues with Hindu's, Sikh's, Buddhist's, Jews and pretty much every other religion. I disagree with brother Mohammad Hijab on this point. I think even with the Qur'an itself, you can prove that the requirements for marriage are physical and mental maturity (refer to verses 4:6 and 17:34). Obviously, the Hadith and wider sources are necessary to explain some of the finer details of Islamic laws and rulings, but saying the the Qur'an in isolation can essentially condone pdfilia is just plain wrong. In my humble opinion, Hijab himself, does say a lot of things which either he shouldn't have said, mistakenly said or purely lied for the sake of his opposition's understanding of a certain point, assuming he understands himself (which as a knowledgeable person, born into an Arabic family, I would assume is the case). Allah forgive me if I said anything wrong and Allah guide me, Hijab, and all Your Salih (righteous) 'ibaad (servants) and grant us all Jannah Al-Firdaws. Ameen.

I’ll just speak for the U.S. There is a constant battle between freedom of religion and other rights guaranteed by the constitution and legal framework. For example, religious Jews and Amish are permitted to educate their children in religious schools that fail to provide basic instruction taught in public schools. However, regardless of any religion’s views on women, they cannot be restricted to their homes, forced to cover their heads, or beaten. Most Americans do not believe even the schooling example should be permitted. If the populations were larger, placing an undue burden on the social safety network, it’s doubtful it would remain legal.
