on the other hand, my mofoco 041's purchased new in 2016, with about 9k miles on them now, have been just fine. i know roy had to find a new foundry a couple years ago to cast his heads. i think he also redid / reworked the molds. one of the reasons i bought the mofoco heads is the fact they are cast, machined and assembled in the usa.

I bought the Mofoco heads for the same reason as you did. But after I learned about the bad feedback about the heads. I got ripped off.😤

Make sure the valve guides are tight they like to fall out. I have a brand new set of these in the shop right now I’m trying to fix up

I never ran these heads. I was going to build a 1776 and was gathering parts for the build, before I learned about the Mofoco heads issues. The valve guides feel tight, but I'm sure they will come loose with a few miles on them. Thanks for leaving a comment.

I got a set of the Mofo 041 from a buddy and I was not impressed with the quality of the machining. Being a machinist myself I spotted the problems pretty quick. I was able to fix them well enough to use but I would take some good OG castings over those any day.
