That coffe is from my home state! Hello, from Minas Gerais, Brasil!
“You can only imagine how i felt when they only had red dicam” *camera cuts to Will, looking up, puzzled, as if sensing a disturbance in the force* Missed opportunity 😒
How many people were as triggered as I was when he didn't even try to get the three-legged stand through the door before modifying it? I bet it would have gone through EASILY. 😅
@Robster-Craw
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I used to assemble and deliver couches and recliners, and those arent small enough to "just fit" through a door. But you have ways to do it like rotate it as you go in. I was totally thinking that he had plenty of enough room to rotate that stand through the door. With wheels, it would have been even easier. kids these days just don't take the time to venture into the possibilities.
@yehudahardoon3567
3 жыл бұрын
@@Robster-Craw I'm guessing Alec had already been planning ahead and fully intended to install the retractable wheel thingamajig - which means he probably wanted to be able to wheel the stand in and out of the grinding room without too much hassle in the future.

3 жыл бұрын
@@yehudahardoon3567 But you still don't need to wheel it in by having one of the triangle's sides paralell do the door. And Alec demonstrates exactly that at 8:13, and it's plenty of space to spare to the door frame. But I guess it was good he narrowed the wheel base / footprint, because he has a bunch of crap behind the door so it can't open up fully... 🤣
It's great to see that after only a short time back in the UK Alec is back to using proper units of measurement. 😂

This reminds me a lot of old school Alec Steele. Loving these new videos Alec. Awesome work.
Great Ooouuuuuhh at 1:46 when more little parts fall out of the power hammer. Looking forward to the DRO install.

Hey Alec, thank you for your generosity! Love the channel. From The Buckin Army! 👏🏻👏🏻
As a dog trainer, I love your pup hanging out on a place command in the shop ☺️
Dude that little tension rod on the wheel rig is genius!
The production of this videos is insane
I keep waiting for someone to pour red dykem in his blue dykem to make it purple dykem just to see his reaction.
whenever Alec posts a new video I'm like YES he posted I love this guy.
Machinists have been making properly spaced holes without DRO for long time BUT when the bag of gold drops I’m putting a DRO on my little lathe, big lathe, milling machine and the laser, drill press, and coffee machine and everything else that moves because they are so nice to have.

9:32 "One important step we shouldn't miss..." **Yogo casually walks by**
I do enjoy these simpler and slower pace videos :)
Liked this because you've gone back to your why and how were doing something video's. Then at the end you show ++ We get to see Yogo, on her own camp style bed to keep her off the cold floor.
Man I needed this video, your zest for life is contagious Alec! Big love man
what would be cool would be the base of the stand being a plentum with many small holes drilled in the floor side of it. Then you have an air source pressurize the plentum and the vise floats on a cushion of air to where you push it. You could move a power hammer that way. Just a neat, elegant, "non moving part" way of doing it.
as always, entertaining, informative and a pleasure to watch.
Loving this new workshop series
nothing more I love than an alec steele video, my favourite KZreadr 😀😀😀
That mag drill with those drills is just incredible to watch going straight through that plate!
Released on a day of national mourning. Love this channel.
Thank you Alec, just a few days ago, I made my first “leaf.” I used a piece of rebar and turned out terrible. But thanks for getting me into blacksmithing. :)
this is perfect i just got out of class so i can now cool down and do some homework with Alec
Good idea for the wheels and legs. Simplest design usually works the best.
What fun it is to tag along with your random shenanigans good sir
Presentation and videography are on point as always, keep up the great content. Thank you
You might want to go find the piece you cut off the top of that die, drill matching holes in it, and use it as a template for all future die heads you make for it, to ensure proper peg spacing.
My ears are pleased listening to the Sound of metric measurments
Adding a doggo to the channel just made the videos better than I could have imagined
So glad for new content
Does Alec seem more relaxed? He seems more relaxed to me.
I’m learning how to use a Bridgeport. It’s really cool and I like to watch you work with mills to see what you know about them
That is so funny. You are in England and had Nick’s boots sent to you. I pass it every day on the way home from work. It is about 2 miles from my house in Spokane Valley.

Really nice work Alex. As always to be true. Be safe
River sand ie for block paving would help more because it's spherical and not angular, which sticks, you can actually use a funnel with this when dry 🐹
Love these shop videos Alec!!
Wow, those chop saws really put in the work. Not much better of an advertisement for a tool than that.
Can't wait to see you do some sword or am axe soon. With all your awesome new tools it looks like it will be very entertaining as always.

You are such a perfectionist! I’m amazed at what you build.
You should build a steel tensegrity table. Super cool and eye catching designs. Just look them up and see for yourself
Excellent video - keep them coming Alec
Red Dykem? That Devil's Dykem has driven you mad in the past. How will Alec deal with the insanity in a spray can? Will Alec now have to eat his own feet?! (edited for typos)
Filled a £50 pillar drill column with rebar and concrete, the table has a jack screw and its very solid.
Finally, the video we needed!
Oh Yeah!!! Thanks Alec!!!
Well, that answers the question about the 70 hammers video. The question was: "Why doesn't he just make a die set for the hammers? Of course it would take some time, but he'd get it back pretty quick." Apparently the answer was "doesn't have a modular die system." which honestly I thought was a standard thing!
This is gonna help me with my match today. Keep it man. You make me wanna wake up.

Hey Alec, great video, as always. You should consider buying a portable hardness tester! They're fairly simple to operate and you would get much more precise hardness readings.
It may be a little thing, but it's so good to hear you speak in metric again!
