Crazy cinematics ! Needs more appreciation!

My S1 is now Stage 1+ tuned- Ecotune map, Wagner intercooler, racingline intake, Helix paddle clutch, Totally different kettle of fish from stock. Golf R/S3/S4 + performance in a smaller lighter & more chuckable package! Bigger brakes are essential as the standard stoppers are pretty woeful!!!

23mpg on a b-road blast - proper consumer advice there!!! :-) can't remember the last time I saw 23 mpg even after hours on the motorway :-(

Not really an S3 engine guys. Along with the smaller is20 turbo from the Mk7 GTI, it has a different cam profile & a few other internal differences. S3 & Golf R motor in these is a massive improvement to the S1, & will leave most tuned GR Yaris owners for dead.

A bit loud insinde. Only speaking with a bit quiter is better. No hate. 😊 But a awesome car👍🏻😏

What roads are you gents driving on there? i was trying to work out if its woodhead or somewhere that sort of way?

Is it a good alternative to the yaris gr? I know the awd system is a lot different but i wish someone compared them since they are both 4x4 and same size

I’ve driven the Yaris GR and own an S1 myself. The S1 isn’t quite as chuckable, but it handles very well and isn’t as numb as you’d expect for an Audi. The exhaust noise on a standard S1 is quiet for most people but in dynamic I find it to be just about right (not a fan of pops and bangs etc myself). Interior quality is better than the GR as you’d expect, but boy does the S1/A1 interior rattle like mad. I’d definitely recommend giving an S1 a test drive if you get a chance. You can find them for a good price for just how capable they are and on the right roads they are great

@@joeharding98 Thanks for the answer! Yeah i mean they are like half the price of a yaris, i know the yaris has a dedicated awd system, not a haldex, but they are essentially 4 wheel drive B segment hothatch so i was interested in their comparison so thanks!

After having the s1 in the family for 6 years ( the longest car that's ever been in my family) then it gives you an idea of how much love the s1 had 👍 I will admit though I have ordered a GR 😃 ( dom)

@@thetwofuels371 well, your GR order sums it up :D I've recetly purchased a rwd 1series and I have to say i love the rwd feeling, i don't think i would be happy enough with the S1, although its still one of the most bonkers cars I wanted to own

Way less fun sadly.. I'm also considering it (s1) but I will probably go with the new fiesta st or i20n when fully presented on the market.. Yaris in Italy is way too high priced sadly otherwise it is the best pocket rocket for the money

The Yaris does look good but it's £££s - this S1 is a good option for a lower budget.

No flat bottom?? thats weird. this car is missing a lot of factory features like the seats too
