Absolutely outstanding. As usual Karan Thapar, among the top of the league interviewers in the world, at his sharpest and Yashwant ji unsparingly precise and poignant in his reflections on each of the questions. No dithering, no dodging; simply shooting from the hip. The interview was a treat.

For as long as one believes in the fundamental tenets of freedom, democracy and secularism, it doesn't matter whether one associates himself with either the Left or the Right. People like Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie will remembered as heroes of the Indian Right in the days to come. No one else has spoken with the kind of conviction and objectivity with which these two gentlemen have spoken against spectre of fascism that has been unleashed on our motherland since 2014.

Yashwant Ji keep on saying that they will be judged by the promises they made but I don't think that will happen in 2019. The only thing that these Gujju brothers had managed to do successfully for the first time in India is that they have successfully changed the perception of the people, they put so much of work in making fools of people that no matter where you look even after so much distress & unfulfilled promises people still blindly supporting them so ppl have already forgotten about the promises. People still believe still after 4yrs that Congress is responsible for ever bad thing. It's terrible state of affairs but unfortunately true !!

He says weed energy (wind),ईज instead of is.His recent statement to Karnataka governor would had been "Give us pipeteen (15) days to prove our STREANH (for strength) in the assembly. Hahaha. Kalp Shah GST claases No,Karan is not ,he plays devils advocate in his interview.He asks tough questions to Congress and BJP and all other persons ,who hrle interviews in a opposing manner. I've read his articles,he and Advaniji are very good friends. He even wrote that BJP should make Advani as the President of India.

Love Wire for bringing back the real journalism. Mr. Sinha - great respect,. I now realise why India should be lead by Senior leaders like you. No one can replace your experience to lead India (such a large country). Very grateful that you have risen above the party lines and gave us these insights. We may be a huge mass of young people but we need direction from someone like you.

Kalp Shah GST claases U can see any of Karan Thapar's interview..It is his style to ask critical questions.. U can see this in his earlier interviews especially of Sitaram Yechury and P.Chidambaram..

He is not bold. This is how weak we are as a country. In US it is very common to criticise government and president and get away with it. In our country though it is mentioned in Constitution, the goons who have been ruling us didn't empower people with those rights and privileges.

If you trust Arun Jaitley's words you are a bigger fool. He can't keep any of his promises when it came to GST. We all have seen it first hand. Now, about what you said about Karan Thapar, anyone who speaks for the good of India and exposes BJP, you term him as pakistani agent. Who is the anti-national? A paid IT cell worker or Mr. Karan Thapar? Please do not sell your motherland for a few rupees. Stop promoting lies and hate against those who are truly working to uplift India.

You should have problem...cz prices are not justified....i am not saying there should not be tax. But they are using 5petrol products(high speed disel, motor spirit, aviation turbine fuel, natural gas, crude) to cover the decline in govt revenue due to gst that is why these products are not taxed under gst they are taxed in old tax laws! The benefit in reduced price which should be passed on to us they are taking that benefit!

Same regarding Aadhar. He was loudly against it when he was in the opposition. We saw how fearmongering tactics were used to enrol people when he came into power. When UPA was in power, BJP had opposed GST as well. Modi takes credit for everything but responsibility of nothing.

This is how you conduct an interview. Not what the mainstream media is doing.

Yashwant Sinha belongs to BJP and still condemning his own party shows that the party has failed miserably from all fronts.

Such interviews must be broadcasted in all news channels.

Only possible on the Wire --- two eminent personalities under one roof discussing on national problems,economy,problems of farmers,unemployment,political manners etc. It's our bad fortune that country is not using the talent of Shri Sinha, Raghuram Rajan and many others like them.

Thank you karan thapar for the enlightenment. Probably if the current regime had leaders like Yashwant Sinha , it would have fared less worse than it is doing today on all fronts. It takes a whole lot of moral courage for Mr.Sinha to be a critic of his own party so that the truth may prevail.
