It's good to know that during live performances Isaac likes to try and sing the overlapping vocals at the same time. Now I don't feel like a jackass when I do it in my car.

I had no idea they even played this live! This is Modest Mouse's greatest song, and for the longest time I thought they wouldn't play it live because it's too complicated.

a song with such direct, explicit lyrics, yet, such deep and profound meaning. a rarity.

They're like a bunch of normal guys that get instruments together every weekend and create the most amazing ensemble to have ever lived.

I think a huge reason why MM doesn't sound as strong live is because they have so many fucking instruments and people doing so many different things. I love them so much though.

Modest Mouse is the most amazing band that I have come across in a while. They're so normal and yet they make this excellent music.

Contrary to popular belief its not a song about the end of a single human life, but civilization as a whole.

Modest Mouse have such a knack for writing refreshing songs, and as an artist they have really grown and evolved, and from the songs, you can tell the band is so fuckin in touch with their spirit... It would seem that some people go to this hell inside themselves and come back with a story slung over their shoulder, while others just live in this hell inside us, then rot from within then rot some more with the parasites...

If I ever start a band, I'm going to make damn sure that I have a dedicated violinist purely so we could do a cover of this.
