looks like dude on the right is making it live. he has a drum machine and some kind of sampler, though i can't get a clear view of his setup, he also brings in some synth sound for a moment there (somewhere between 26:15 - 26:30)

I enjoy the fact that it's two DId who work so well together (it's hard enough to be one DJ). They're practically seamless.

The reason you move the knobs on a channel that isn't playing is so the channel is set ready as to how you want to start the mix of the next tune. Most start with the bass off and introduce it later. That's why I mess with a channel that isn't playing

It's beautiful and very skilled starting at minute 15. Good set!

It's a 909. They have a drum machine and another bit of tech on two channels on the mixer then the songs and the NI mixer plugged into another channel on the main mixer so they can mash up their own beats and effects and stuff. I've never seen it before, pretty cool setup :)

Im new one in Modeselektor music. Someone can tell me how is their DJ setup? Im watching a Mac controlled by a Traktor S4 a a Pionne 4 channel mixer which i suppose is it used to mix de Traktor + the other machine that the other guy is using?

They change their setup frequently. Logic or Ableton is usually on the other computer.
