+Neron Deshishku No doubt that Live Music is certainly more... ... well..., let's say more alive than in a computer. But truly speaking as far as art is concerned, I've much more problems to feel the sublime Shakti in my computer with works of art such as paintings and sculptures than with any music. Music is still music even without synergy, but visual art (except computer art of course) is completely dead if you don't see the original.
This should be the standard on how boiler rooms are performed. Straight organic & raw. Its crazy how we all fall back on this set. Years later and its still music to my ears.

there should be no standard defined by a bunch of ppl
@hintarasholtorzic9033
Жыл бұрын
@@helgeschneider2471 There is a case use for a defined standard. It is to describe what is a masterpiece of a set, for you and me. I know I know, you could argue until we drop dead but there is no point to argue one detail of a variety of circumstances over the other. Sometimes I read peoples comments how much they are enjoying the set which I myself don't like at all. I recognize the words and the emotions that leads me to leaving comments like this myself, just elsewhere, and and and I'm high. Technically and organically you can explain the good taste of a certain kind of music. I'm sure someone has or can serve this set with a perfect story of where this set takes him. I could, I think. Your statement, on the other hand, is interesting. After quick think I say that there should be a dynamic defined standard. Dynamic means that it's definition gets updated if and when needed.

13:12 for one of the most disgustingly tasteful grooves I have ever heard. I cannot even comprehend the level of genius that is Nicolas Jaar. No. Seriously. I have recorded my own music, which isn't even bad, for 12 freaking years and Nicolas Jaar is in another fucking dimension. Every section of this performance is top-notch. To be able to flawlessly flow all of these pieces together live blows my mind. I screw up tiny little sections of my 3 minute songs over and over again before I get the right sound, but Nicolas Jaar over here is just hitting every part with surgical precision. These are complicated, unsual rhythms, yet he allows the lister to build a comprehension of the groove by building sections and holding onto them. Once the listener is in the same headspace of the groove, he builds tension, and drops. It's so sick. I don't know of anyone else that is capable of doing that.

But you should listen to that whole album anyway if you haven't, it's a masterpiece.

8 years later im still blasting this set with my friends at our house raves
man, after years listening to this for the first time, it still sounds unmatched, what an amazing work!
So let me get this straight. These people witnessed Nicolas Jaar jam live for about 50 minutes, mixing loops, samples, whole tracks, noise generator output and a freaking radio playing back transmissions and reacted like that?

Either that or they are too blown away by how good it is to actually move.

First Name Last Name you seem kinda delusional. no one is on their phones in the shot
Always come back once a week to see and listen to this amazing set
D'angelo piece at the end is the final touch to this perfect dj set
I was introduced to Nicolas Jaar by my ex years ago, and immediately fell into his groove & precision. I may not be with my ex anymore but the good “take away” from that relationship was my continued appreciation for Jaars sound! Happy place
This set made me stop University for one or two years because I want to make music now. (I know I'll never reach this level of creativity)
