I got 4 cardigans (2 short sleeved, 1 long sleeved, and 1 three quarter sleeved), 2 collared sweaters, 1 ruffled sweater, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 dress, 1 coat, and 2 sweater vests! I'm beyomd excited! What I like about when you do lookbooks is that you do multiple outfits per item that you're trying to incorporate. More options makes it more inspirational, and therefore slightly easier to emulate your style (though I'll never achieve your levels of AMAZING I'm sure)!

"Do I look like your people?" Dying. These videos are always so helpful and encouraging! It can be so easy to feel like I have to get a whole new wardrobe if I want to dress vintage, but I don't! I also do enjoy some more modern styles, so knowing that I can mix and match modern and vintage pieces helps me reconcile that. Thanks for the great content, as always!

4:15 has a real "bored-heiress-turned-woman-of-action" thing going on. Like Daddy's fancy dances and gala dinners started to wear on your patience, so you did the sensible, practical thing and had yourself and a candy-colored and irresponsibly-fast roadster shipped down to Egypt or the Holy Land so you could do some -grave defiling- amateur archaeology.

I love it when you do videos like this. You are so good at styling pieces together. I also loved the lip syncing montage at the end! 😄❤️

THe black gap pinafore dress reminds me of the Ralph Lauren Prairie look from the 80’s. All you need is an eyelet ruffled edge petticoat underneath. That vest is gorgeous, a priceless find.

(watching the outtakes)(hmm... did somebody recently watch Bohemian Rhapsody?) On the other hand, here am I, styling vintage pieces to look modern. Basically I can never put an outfit together without breaking it up in some way (can you say that in English? In German a Stilbruch, a "style break" means you are breaking the rules of a certain aesthetic, can be seen as both positive and negative). If I follow a certain style "formula" from head to toe, be it a vintage aesthetic or other, I'll just feel dressed up instead of dressed as myself, and I will be overcome by a *mighty need* to make it more individual. I still wish it were easier to find good vintage clothes here, it seems the US has a lot more to offer in their thriftstores. Love watching you, Rachel, always so inspiring even for people like me who don't necessairily aspire to commit to the vintage lifestyle. I rarely miss a video!
