being tired makes one look depressed, who wouldn't be tired cooking for 22 people three times a day and making sure everyone has their fair share? it would be a full days work for just one wife then the other 2 take care of everything else the children need doing, he goes out to work to provide the finance. not an easy thing to do.

OH heck, I am the youngest of 8 children. (Catholic.. only a father & mother) and my Dad never got our names right. LOL I am from Philly. The grade school I went to (back in the late 60s=to mid 70ls) was full of big families. Irish/Catholics. Largest had 14 children. *2 families had 14. That was just the era.... but we all had one mother & one father. I can see mixing up names. I just hope he doesn't mix up his wives names , if you know what I mean. I think these are just cults. Sorry, not sorry. One spouse is hard enough. Marriage is hard enough. Why put all this crap on a child.

Dear lord . Thankyou for my life and freedom . They look unhappy and stressed . There is no way that one man can evenly parent / support emotionally 20 kids as a father . Those kids deserve better . And that 19 year old needs to see she’s got a whole life ahead of her , what a shame .

I had some friends who grew up in polygamous families and they eventually broke away and said it's a depressing life. The women, although they say they're happy, are not. The marriages are not happy or healthy. Jealousy is a major issue, as is the lack of one-on-one attention and love for all the children. Most of the kids are raised by older siblings, who sometimes grow resentful because they didn't have much of a childhood.

The show called sister wives ended up imploding and everyone admitting they were miserable. The show about Tom Green and his 12 wives ended up with most of the wives leaving and later coming out and explaining how miserable of a life it is. I can guarantee that any woman who says she just loves the idea of her husband banging another woman, is not being honest.

18 kids. 4 parents. 22 people. Way to pay attention to the video. Plus, it's not one or two parents with 18 kids. It's 4 parents. That's like 6 kids per wife. Which is not unreasonable and is very common in the south. Each wife can pay attention to their 6. Plus, honestly, the more kids you have, the easier it is for them to entertain themselves and each other. I wouldn't want to live this life, but it's their choice and they aren't hurting anyone. If they were neglecting their children, that would be a problem. But until we decriminalize polygamy, they will continue to operate outside of the legal system and they will make it hard for CPS to come look in on their children. Once we legalize it, it will make it easier to make sure all the children are cared for. Plus, then the moms won't be able to claim benefits of being "single" moms from welfare. So win-win.

the bible is filled with polygamy. it's not against the laws of the scriptures, Solomon alone had 700 wives and 300 concubines. there weren't restrictions on the limit of wives a man could have in Jewish or Christian scriptures. Islam restricts it to 4 and even then it says if you cannot deal justly between them then only marry 1. the majority of muslims do not practice polygamy. to think God has wives or even a gender or need for sexual intercourse is blasphemy. God has no beginning and no end, God is above all human needs/wants/desires, God is Almighty, the Creator of everything.

People forget that thousands of years of history are used to con gullible women into thinking this is a great lifestyle choice, whereas it is really about women being the property of men. Laws were made to protect women from this kind of abuse and they are not being enforced. Of course the women don't want to share their man, even though they might like the idea of living in a collective of women. It is so weird when asked what was the hardest thing the wife responded that it was making sure the kids were fed fairly. She said we can't have mothers giving their children food any time they want. I can't imagine being a grown woman and not being able to give my child food. I would think if a child asks for food no matter who's child it is, they should eat unless it was near mealtime. I can see where there might be different opinions but would not think it would be a serious issue. They must have had a recent blow-up for her to bring that up.

Janine, they are one family but many little families all at once, he has three or four wives, I can't recall. They each have they're own family with him but they all work together to raise the kids, in some polygamous families they live under one roof but each wife has a bedroom of their own. and in other families they each have their own houses. It works for them because it's their normal, to them how we live is strange with just one partner

Well you need to read it again because 1 Corinthians 7:2, "But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband." Exodus 20:17 (ESV) says, “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”

All The cases you're referring to in the Bible only involved the JEWISH Culture (or Middle Eastern), wherein Polygamy is accepted. The book mostly focuses on the Jews, some of it was even written by them. Anyway, Polygamy was never Condemned by the Bible, neither was it Encouraged in it. So i think it's up to each of us and our different Cultures that will shape our perception of we choose to accepted or not.

The Polygamous Tradition comes from the Middle East, an area which was the main focus of the Bible. it didn't come from God, neither did i say it did. Monogamy however did come from God, as we see it in Genesis, there was only one woman created for Adam. I believe that the decision of which one to accept is totally up to you.

I find there lives fascinating! I’m a married woman of over 20 years and I give much respect to women with one husband, I would be way to jealous.

I will never understand how they think polygamy is God’s plan when God literally said that marriage is to be between ONE man and ONE woman. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've lived in a container for the first 7 years of my life (my parents were building the home I lived the rest of my childhood in). It was a very nice home. It was bigger than this one (because it was for four people) It had everything (a big kitchen + living room, a bathroom a toilet and two bedrooms) it was very nice and comfy and a good house.

he problem this woman is not addressing is the double standard. When a 35 year old man attracts a younger, attractive woman he does it by being moderately good looking (at least), and flauting wealth. When a 35 year old woman wants to attract a younger, more attractive man, she expect him to still take her out and take all the initiative, and be flaunted wealth at. No, silly goose - you've squandered your sexual appeal. If you want to be a sugarmommy, that can work BUT, you have to date down, take the initiative, pay for the dates, take the risk of rejection, and if you formalize the relation, take the risk of alimoney payment wrecking your wealth for the rest of your life if the whole thing fails (roughly 50% chance - know what you get into). And older women are as eager to sign up for that deal as men are these days, go figure.

Holly Hobbie ya really after all how many people are on earth which means their are females who are bound to have multiple men but it's just more common for men than it is for women cause if u look at it through survival/evolutionary aspect u will notice that females really don't need multiple men since men can keep producing sperm if they are healthy but men would need multiple women cause women can only reproduce for a short amount of time since it takes the female around 9 months to give birth and since females only have a limited amount of eggs that can be used and with every child the female conceives it increases the risk of health issues and or dying.

Then after she has entered into that Spiritually binding agreement and grown over the years, she has no option but to stay because it was a spiritually binding vow she made.
