Nadu gives each creature that ability that can trigger twice. Twice per creature.

I like that Charitable Levy is realistically not dangerous enough for people to bother using targeted removal to deal with it, so it's very likely to do its thing.

Another pretty important difference between Reoccurring Nightmare and Chthonian Nightmare... Getting the 3 energy is actually a bad thing because now it gives your opponent something to respond to... meaning they can Disenchant it. With Reoccurring, if you play it and use it right away, your opponent never actually gets a chance to kill it because the return part is a part of the cost for using it.

Yeah, Dev keeps missing the watermarks on the reprints. "I think this is from judgement" Card: *has judgement watermark*

Considering that Tolarian Academy is busted (and banned), Arch of Innovation should not be underestimated even if it's heavily watered down. Even at just 1 extra mana produced, you'll have to compare it to a card like Ancient Tomb. Skullclamp, jitte and other s-tier equipment, treasuress (don't sac, just tap) and other strong utility artifacts lie Aether Spellbombor 0/1-mana artifact-cantrips like Arcums Astrolabe just turn this card on no problem. Even if you're only net positive with 1 extra mana, because you have tappable 3 artifacts in play, what was the opportunity cost here? Playing a land that maybe enters play tapped if you didn't have an island? It's basically Ancient Tomb with a lower floor and higher ceiling.

Awesome review yet again. I think that the Entrancing Fleshwarper could really hit hard during limited, especially 2hg. It's not only once each turn, and playing anything colourless will already do 2 damage.. 4 even in 2hg.

It says "Flip a Coin" so I instinctively love it.

Knowing kappas track record in legacy I feel like it's probably too good for modern. They're really playing with fire by putting it in here,

Solem Simulacrum into Crabomination seems like a solid playline in casual edh.

If you have Aether Revolt on the field with Chthonian Nightmare and a single 1-3 drop creature, 8 mana deals 20 burn damage (5 at a time).

Mulldrifter sees some modern play in reanimator, plays well with Persist and Ephemerate.

Im happy seeing any amount of your body. Checked the hot takes vid too. Some spicy stuff over there.

Ripples of undeath is great in the fact that it gives you the opportunity to find the option you need for the gamestate on the board. Its gonna be a powerhouse if i had to make a prediction. i mean its a free look at the top three every turn plus your draw

20:27 Wheel of Fortune is far from necessary now. Red has gotten a ton of card-advantage cards over the last five years. There was a time where WoF was one of the only options, but those days are over.

I kinda prefer box mode for the slideshows tbh

Herigast is basically Eldrazi/fat colorlorss Ritual. Play stuff, ermerge Herigast for 2-4 mana. exile hand to draw more cards (or don't), then immediately play something else emerging from Herigast itself. Like, it's not hard to do: turn1-2: ramp turn 3: play etb-value creature (eg. Solemn Simulacrum, Summoner's Egg etc.) turn 4: emerge herigast from sad robot. immediately emerge 8-10 mana eldrazi titan from herigast

I appreciate you sharing these MH3 previews. Some of these cards are good while the others are really mediocre at best. Thank you for the video.

entrancing fleshwarper is a mythic uncommon. people don't even know how strong this card is gonna be.

i dont know about modern, but Kappa Cannoneer would pair quite nicely with Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge

Hell yeah Kudo should be a rare. It is a world effect. It is a humility on a stick. Probably so use to seeing new age one sided magic overlook it affects creatures on both side of the board.

It's a limited bomb if you build around the eldrazi scions. It's basically an anthem that de-buffs your opponents creatures. Come to think about it, it is super strong if you are heavy into actual anthems or counters to break symmetry

My first (and biggest) MTG regret is trading a copy of Necropotence to a friend after Iconic Masters draft because my noob brain didn't understand the power or how I would grow to accept hate cards.

it read completely busted, until the "two times per turn" and now it's "only" really really strong. Lightning greaves and two guys out? That's two free activations. At mana activation we still have swiftfoot boots and skullclamp. The important part is that these cards are still really good by themselves. But sure, you can also just play janky stuff like "Rhystic DELUGE". With your commander out, this is just U: draw a card. And it can be activated on opponents turns. Really useless without the commander but still awesome: Unnatural selection. 2 mana blue enchantment, 1 colorless activation.

Nadu triggers off of an equipment equipping to it, right? Since equip is a activated ability?

Phyrexian Tower is only "busted" in the decks that want it. A truly busted card would be busted in almost every deck.

Nadu's "twice per turn" restriction apply to each creture independently, right?🤔 ... So if you have a 0 mana activated ability that target (nomad's en kor for example) you can "draw" twice the number of creatures you control... each turn 😮😮 (and can even do it once before any creature could be killed!!)

@@fatpad00 but equip is not instant speed :-( opponent can kill it before you can get the second trigger or even the first one if there are some ETB trigger... But without a reaction works the same :-)

3:50 - "who cares [if it's Modern playable]?" Yes ... let's make a set called MODERN Horizons and not care if the cards are Modern playable.

I feel like Nulldrifter having a cast trigger makes it a worse Mulldrifter tbh. At first I was excited to have two Mulldrifters in my Sefris deck, but then realised that it was a cast trigger, so cheating your 7mana card in, or reanimating it (in Sefris's case) after you've played it for the cheap mode, isn't really a good play anymore. Sure, Annihilator is great, but I don't think it's good enough. And noone can afford to spend 7 mana for it right?
