She didn't "sense" anything though. Hailey clearly asked how long mom would be stuck, and couldn't stop her, and then promptly picked up her purse in a noisy manner and walked away while wearing noisy heeled boots. If you mean she used one of her 5 senses, then yes you would technically be correct, but it had nothing to do with something like a mother's 6th sense or anything like that. Also I am pretty sure she read the script a few times since she didn't stutter once.

what I loved about this show was every character has their own agendas and the writers managed to intertwine them into one hectic plot each episode.

I can't explain why, but the busted step bit never, ever gets old for me.

Phil didn’t get away with it forever - Season 5, episode 5 *The Late Show* 3 years/seasons later, Luke told the truth that the cabinet almost crushed him and Phil wasn’t happy 😂🤣

highly unlikely, nearly every tv show and movie is made in Los Angeles which is a VERY earthquake-prone region. I can always tell when the writers on NCIS (based in DC but made in LA) mess up and give the characters lines like "the 95" instead of "I-95" or "95" for highways.
