One amazing thing about these seasons where a lot of episodes weren't straightforward Timmy makes a wish and it goes wrong. They mixed it up a bit more often with episodes like Crocker Shocker, Playdate of Doom, Frenemy of Mine, Super Zero, When Losers Attack, etc.

My Opinion of all seasons: Season 1:Great. Season 2:Amazing. Season 3:Amazing. Season 4:Amazing. Season 5:Great. Season 6:Good. Season 7:Decent. Season 8:Mediocre. Season 9:Terrible. Season 10:Abysmal.

I think s8 is good

14:02 I can explain that. The magic car wash sent items that went through it back in time. When the dinosaur bones went through it it was alive again. Timmy wishing they were babies didn't send them back in time it just made them babies.

I honestly think that Season 8 is better than 7 because it's shorter and bad episodes aren't THAT bad compared to season 7(except for Timmy's Secret Wish)

I honestly kinda missed Vicky in the later seasons when her role became nearly none existent. I also hated Crocker appearing in nearly every episode. Half the time he wasn’t even showing up as an antagonist. I couldn’t stand Foop either. Just Butch’s version of Stewie Griffin but watered down and not funny. I never realized this but Anti Cosmo and Wanda barely appeared in the classic seasons. It’s a shame cause they were among my fav characters.

@@manofwisdom000 I agree. That episode is actually pretty funny. People have pointed out that Foop would’ve been better if they hadn’t written Anti Cosmo and Anti Wanda out of existence and that I agree with.

1:55 But in the video Butch Said that Poof was his idea because he always wanted to add a baby. There was a dropped script for an FOP theatrical movie that had a baby in it. And that Sparky and Chloe were asked for by the executives.

Poof was amazing the only mistake was making him talk. They should have played up his mime traits and made him more of a genius baby. After he talked they didn't know what to do with him.

@José Lucas Not really he does have a character. He is like a cross between Maggie Simpson and Picchu. Similar to maggie he is a super-smart baby and often does things more advanced than a normal baby. he is also a goody two shoes. You slowly saw him act more grown-up as the episodes went on. The crying stopped causing bad things to happen, his diaper didn't need to be changed as much and he even went to school. Instead of making him talk they should have doubled down on that and turned him into Snoopy.

You’re just another toxic Poof hater and completely ignorant of the fact that most episodes after Season 6 ended were revolved around Timmy’s Dad, Crocker, and occasionally Foop, alongside the abandonment in continuity and flanderization of the remaining characters (including Dad, Crocker and Foop).

I really like the episode "for emergencies only" in season 6 for the super sweet ending i was not expecting nice character moments like that in the revival seasons.

Ligeiro Reviews and Colin Miller, more like Season 6 of FOP is the same as Season 4 of SpongeBob, while Seasons 7 and 8 of FOP are the same as Season 5 of SpongeBob.

I love Foop he is awesome. He is really funny and reminds me of Stewie Griffin.

Oh I didn’t realize this came out already, dang it. I saw your classic perspective on it and was looking forward to this.I think you brought out some real good points here, and the decline wasn’t super fast, matter of fact I actually like season 6. The show went downhill after Season 6, not starting in Season 6.

Looking back, I don't think this era of the 'Fairly Odd Parents' was all that bad. I don't know if it's because the show went off the rails later on, but by comparison, these seasons had their fair share of gems. They're not as funny as the earlier seasons for sure, but I believe the Poof era had the chance to redeem the series. If Fairly Odd Parents ended when it started to lose its touch, then fans would probably remember it more fondly. .......What could have been.

Season 6 has the same charm and quality as the earlier seasons. The show went off the rails beginning in Season 7.

Seasons 1-5 - Classic Era (it was PERFECT) Seasons 6-8 - Mid Era (Good but 1-5 were better) Seasons 9 & 10 - Garbage Era (It's awful) Yeah... let's just pretend that 9 and 10 never existed and that Season 8's "Meet the OddParents" was the real finale

Has anyone ever realized that trixie's best friend, Veronica, is the perfect girlfriend for timmy? She is literally a fusion of trixie, tootie and chloe in terms of design, role and her actions. Think about all the things fans love and hate about timmy's main trio of love interests and you'll see what I mean. It's crazy how she got sidelined in retrospect.

The big problem with Trixie and Veronica is that they look like teens, and Timmy has the proportions of a cartoony four year old. It's the same problem as Kid Goku and Bulma, even though those two never were in love, Bulma did lust after Goku for a bit when he like tripled in size and gained muscle.

@@gars129 That was always something that bugged me about the show. Some kids, like Timmy's crew look like toddlers, others, like trixie's crew look like teens, Francis looks like a teen etc. But each other kid listed above are only 1-2 years apart in age. I feel like butch was trying to copy Dexter's lab by having a small protagonist facing a bigger world but dexter was closer being a little kid even though his demeanor would say otherwise. Plus his age wasn't really said while timmy was constantly said to be 10.

But after the show gave a huge "fuck you" to trixie and tootie I looked back and saw Veronica was probably the perfect girl for timmy. Especially given how adamant both fanbases of trixe and tootie are.

@@homesliceheroes6306 My main beef with later seasons was how every villain aside from Crocker and Foop had disappeared. Even Vicky who for some reason kept appearing in the intro barely appeared. Besides her I missed Francis,Remy,Anti-Fairies, Norm, and the Pixies.

Initially I did like Anti Poof (the show may ignore its naming convention but I won't) and I was excited to see where they would go with it. Would we get to see more of the Anti Fairies? Maybe have some funny family clashes with the counterparts over magical shenanigans? Bowling night or something? Or heck just exploring their characters more! Except....ya know, they ended up just forgetting they existed and only ever brought in the baby or the nonsensical council they suddenly have when Anti Cosmo was the only ruler ever established? So I'm kinda ehhhh on his character, early on he was fine but later good god did they run him into the ground without any development whatsoever.

I'm not a big fan of Poof, but looking back at his first appearance in "Fairly OddBaby" I think he acts like some sort of MacGuffin that drives the episode's plot rather than being a full-fledged character.

They really had Anti-Cosmo in their hand and thought the goddamn BABY is more interesting as a main villain

Ray DeLaurentis around this time became story editor, i don't want to be mean to him because there's no sign of him being a jerk like Butch, but the cartoons he works on are consistently bad

At this point Ray DeLaurentis should never ever be trusted to write for a new show or movie again. He is already a bad writer just like Kevin Sullivan, as most of the cartoons he wrote, especially the last four seasons of Fairly OddParents, are either a mixed bag or just bad. Now just imagine what do you think will happen to Danny Phantom if ever DeLaurentis gets his dirty hands on a possible new Danny Phantom reboot - live action or animated.

This show fell down so hard that I can't bear to rewatch it.

My favorite modern episode is Meet the Odd Parents because unlike season 10 the parents interacting with Cosmo and Wanda is seen as something they shouldn't do and Is trying to be kept hidden unlike season 10 where it's basically normal.

This video sums up my opinion of Modern Fairly Odd Parents as a Whole.

@@renejustinnillo3087 It depends on which episode. The main problem is that the writers tossed Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda aside for Foop. Otherwise, I think Foop wouldn’t be as disliked as he is by most fans in the comments from what I’ve seen.

I reckon if Loud House hadn't come along, Fairly Odd Parents would still be going

20:15 Chicken Poofs is actually paired with Stupid Cupid in the 109 (S7 E9) pair. Take and Fake is paired with Cosmo Rules in the 117 (S7 E17) pair

I actually kinda like the episode Crocker Shocker. I’ve always thought it was a unique spin on the classic idea that fairy’s get there powers from peoples belief in them.

Only the first half of the episode was good. The rest was bad and showed another example of them breaking continuity to force in a lazy plot twist.

This era has the best art style. It added one of my favorite characters ever Poof. Some of my favorite episodes ever came from this era. My favs are He Poofs he Scores, Fairly Odd Baby, Lights Out, Vicky Gets Fired, Merry Wishmas, Crocker Shocker, Open Wide and say AHHHH, Food Fight, Frenemy of Mine, and Super Zero.

Well Poof is boring but he's probably Way better Character than Dil of the Rugrats

Too bad Bad Heir Day was the last episode of Fairly Oddparents I saw. After that, I was done with the show because of how loud, annoying, repetative, and mean-spirited the show got.

Curious for part 2

Looking back I think the show just wondered too far from its original premise that mentioned in the shows theme song: Timmy is an average kid who no one understands. For me the show began to fall off in season 4 or 5 but I think 7 is when it got really bad.

@@manofwisdom000 TBH, my opinions kinda changed overtime. I now think FOP seasons 1-8 are just ok. I personally can't take emotional moments seriously, when the comedy from day 1 is this in-your-face. Which is why I prefer the 2 shows that came after: DP for the emotional moments, and TP for the in-your-face comedy. BiaB is just 2nd half season 10 FOP with a different skin.

Season 6 should be appreciated more, as that season is still as good as the old days. Season 7 started all the flaws with the characterization and plots that would unfortunately become the norm in Seasons 9 and 10. This is because the head writer of the show since Season 7 was the same guy that wrote the infamous Coconut Fred cartoon (Ray DeLaurentis), as well as Butch Hartman’s lack of talent which started all the way back in Season 3 of Danny Phantom.

@@renejustinnillo3087 It amazes me how Season 4 of SpongeBob SquarePants received critical acclaim or at most generally positive reviews versus Season 6 of the Fairly OddParents, where the reception seems to be mixed to negative. It’s like they can’t tell that Season 7 had way more flaws than Seasons 5 and 6 of the show. It’s so obvious, but they let Poof’s presence bother them so much despite not being the main focus in most of the episodes since his debut.

It’s from an SNES puzzle game called Panel De Pon, although you might know it as the Yoshi themed Western rebrand “Tetris Attack”. Not sure of the exact level theme, but being an old game the soundtrack isn’t *that* expansive so if you just look up the OST it’ll be easy to find

@@manofwisdom000 I agree with you. Especially that part where you had to call these people out, especially those who say Poof was the cause of the show’s downfall. Seasons 7 and 8 aren’t great because of the aforementioned problems you just listed, and most of them have to do with Butch Hartman’s lack of talent. The show gradually declined in Season 7 until it went to total hell in Season 9. These issues make you realize that Butch Hartman hasn’t learned his lesson from the third and final season of Danny Phantom. Because I found out that that show also went downhill due to the firing of almost all of the original writers, especially Steve Marmel, who wanted to take Danny in a much darker and bolder direction. But Butch was against that idea, and always wanted the Danny franchise to be as lighthearted as Fairly OddParents, even if it means dumbing down his characters and/or plots.

People only hate on Season 6 because of Poof, yet there weren’t any episodes since his debut that focused on him to the point of stealing the spotlight, and even if they did (especially in the Spellementary School saga), they weren’t outwardly terrible. They also completely forget that Seasons 7 and 8 suffer from writing problems which Man of Wisdom mentioned that sadly became the norm in Seasons 9 and 10, regardless of opinions.

Because that’s exactly the response I get from most fans of the show and they don’t even explain why. They just come up with a bunch of narratives to paint Poof as the reason why all of the show’s flaws happen later on. They have so much little critical thinking.

@@manofwisdom000 Not only that, I’ve also saw a bunch of tiresome narratives saying Channel Chasers should have been the concluding point of the show. YET, that special was not even meant to close off Season 4 of the show or even the entire series as a whole, both in broadcast and production order. And we had to spend months or even years calling out on those people who continue to act this way.

In my opinion, Playdate of Doom is not only the worst season 7 episode but important my opinion the worst episode of the entire Fairly Oddparents. I just feel very sorry for Poof and this portrayal of Wanda scars me. She’s such an unlikable, mean, evil counterpart siding mom, For me this is Wanda at her absolute worst as a mother & a person in general

Only the 9 and 10 season are the worst At least in my opinion Seasons 6-8 are considered the Silver Age It still feels good to watch, with the only bad episode being Timmy's Secret Wish But everything else is amazing maybe not as good as the original series but hey, that's why we call it the silver age, or at least i do.

I think Fancy Shcmancy is actually good i think its on my top 3 of season 10
