I appreciate all of the support.
This modern design bench is made from Baltic birch plywood and walnut.
It was inspired by a design from Shaun Boyd.
Shaun makes amazing pieces and has an entire furniture line utilizing Baltic Birch plywood. See the link below.

I once made a curved pieces out of plywood. I did it by a jigsaw and a router. It took me forever to finish, and the process was pain in the as*. Good for you for having a CNC.

Its never too late to start again! Thanks for the comment, Allen, and thanks for watching!
Like the style - very modern and neat. Was wondering - instead of buscuit joinery or dowel at the curve joint - why didn't you inter-digitate the bench and curves. Extend the curves in a flat line by say 10cm and reduce every 2nd bench slat by 10cm - much stronger join. I am assuming this is to support body weight. Or is it a display bench? Just a thought not a criticism!

Yes, I had planned on doing that but then changed course at some point. I think if I were to make it again I would do something like that. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

exactly, i would hate to see the piece fail at the biscuit joint. even a shallow tongue and groove would strengthen it, a long sliding dovetail would be difficult but very strong and could make an interesting visual additional

Nice piece of furniture but the computer generated wood cutting is not wood working. I am sure someone can make the exact same piece of furniture the old fashioned way.

Thanks, Vernon. You are right, this piece could definitely be made with hand power tools. It could even be made well with just hand tools. In the description I have a link to the former. I like tech stuff too, so a mix of computers and wood working is fun for me. Thanks for checking out the channel. I appreciate you watching.

its called a cnc or computer numerical control, you could also read a book by candle light, instead of using you computer with your electric. Doesnt mean its wrong

Yes true, but if its with that or a jig with router doesnt really make much difference...

@@noireblack8865 it really gets my goat how dismissive people are about cnc power tools jigs, like if you use any of them the finish product quite literally made its self and u the maker had zero input. You know it takes skill to use all these things successfully and quite a bit of knowledge to use a cnc it isnt just press a button and walk away. Infuriating
