    You have to apply all transfprmations, if not simple deform modifier makes a parabola instead of a semicircle.

    Love it! Just one thing I found out today, you can copy value directly as drivers and paste them as drivers which should save you a few seconds when setting up the array modifiers

    Great pro tutorial, thank you very much, very instructive. 🧡 at #4 you could maybe also use Blender's Cross Joint. ADD(activate extra objects) Mesh Pipe Joints (cross/Elbow/N/T/Y joints)

    Kinda want to test if tessalate will work for arches so you could have a modular asset that can fit different kinds of pattern designs.

    Well, i am interested in this architecture too, but i never use polygonal method, instead, i use curves because of flexibility and accuracy and then i convert them to vertex.

    Complimenti, hbitproject, davvero uno splendido tutorial! Ho però un problema con la barrel vault, la prima: al momento della piegatura, non mi forma una semicurconferenza, ma si incurva a U capovolta e lo spessore della mesh aumenta esageratamente. Avrò provato una 40ina di volte, ma niente. Quale potrebbe essere il problema?

    In the end it's just a cube rotated by 45 degrees (still you'll need a squared base though)

    Booleans are great, don't get me wrong, but more often than not they require some extra clean up

    Problem with first type is tha tiles should not bend, but rather be placed on curved surface while keeping their original straight shape

    @@hbitproject Mi sembrava, un po' dall'accento. Almeno lo capisco bene :) Per curiosità, dove hai imparato a modellare così bene e per che fini? Per l'università? Per i beni culturali? Io studio architettura e mi sono avvicinato a Blender per una tesi - che non farò - su una domus tardoantica ad Ostia: provenendo da Rhinoceros - che assecondava a perfezione le mie smanie di precisione millimetriche -ancora non mi sono abituato a Blender, ed al suo approccio scultoreo. Cioè la modellazione di un toro di una base attica, per dire, che in Rhino avrei fatto come rivoluzione di una/un semicirconferenza/semicerchio attorno ad un cilindro (o in altro modo) partendo da un curva esattissima di qualche trattato o rilievo, e che invece in Blender si ottiene modellando la materia di un cilindro, mi ha mandato in tilt e sto ancora abituandomi.
